anyone tried upgrading in the 15th month of an 18 month contract?0

What does an unlimited web bolt-on do0
-
The mrs has just upgraded and was adamant that she wanted to go from sim only paying £20 pm onto PAYG keeping her ex contract phone. o2 @cpw disconections offered her various deals however the one she opted for was:
600 mins
unlimited texts
Free 02 to 02 calls
no phone
Free itemised billing
£35 pm for 18 month contract however the cashback would be £540. so the line rental would equate to £5 per month.
This would be the 3rd year with cashback via CPW without any major issues.0 -
I've pre agreed my next contract renewal due to signal problems early- apparently they are still offering 12 month deals but only if you take a relatively cheap phone. I'm told that you may be able to get TWO bolt ons from the start of next year on contracts, so at the moment I would take unlimited internet and unlimited texts. Please don't take this as gospel

I get two bolt ons and have done for a few months. I get an extra 60 mins anytime a month, plus a second bolt on of the same, so giving me an extra 120 mins ontop of the 600 I already get.0

Advise please. I am on the simplicity £10 month option at the moment was going to wait till after christmas to see what is available. Been watching this thread for the last few months to see what is available.
Now stupid me lost his phone at the weekend so i called 02 and they are sending me a new sim card and put a hold on my account until then. I have a spare old phone so i have some options on what t do next. What do I do?
1) Use my insurance that i pay every month. Will i have to get the same phone and take a new contact out.old phone Nokia 6300?
2) Upgrade now and the best offer i was given was Samsung G600 - 400mins, unlimtied texts and unlimted calls to 02 to 02. £15 a month
3) Wait until after christmas
4) On play I can get the Samsung G600 for £99 on a 02 pay as you go then go through retentions and get £150 cash back for not taking a new phone? then Do i really need the insurance if i buy a phone as it covers me for the nokia 6300? (saving me £60 a year)0 -

You will get the same phone unless you are near renewal and your current contract will continue not renew.

You must be able to get better than that?! Try retentions and you should be able to get an N95 8gb with more mins/texts for FREE and about £20pm (as mentioned above).
3) Wait until after christmas
Only if you want to scour eBay for the present sales? Dont think deals will get any better from networks, only once the phones are replaced by newer models do they come down...

I have never bought insurance in the 10 or so years Ive owned a phone. I have always been able to get it replaced/repaired under warrenty. I'd scrap the insurance, buy the G600 if you really like it (I couldn't get on with it myself, the wife now has my old one!) and you would probably only get £100 back as a low tariff user but that would be for an 18month non-phone tariff, so you'd only be able to upgrade or renew in 18months time.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things.
