Hellooooooooooooo
Up till 1 am, on here and trying to sort out for the OS get together. I know it's a bit of a bind, but I'd like confirmation pm's from everyone who is coming, even if you have said 'yes' to start with, just to make sure. I've seen it all go pear shaped when most of the people don't turn up for whatever reason.
Anyway - my day. Going to be expensiveI need to tax Mr TM's car and mine is going in for a service. It's needed the brakes skimming for ages now, but the garage (main dealer) didn't do courtesy cars until recently and as the garage is on a dual carriageway in the middle of nowhere, I'm not itting there for 2 1/2 hours while they do it! They've got to grips with that and are doing a 'courtesy' pick up in a bit. At least I have Mr TM's car to use. However, main service - ooooh, £100+ (ouch)
Need to go into bank to put cheque in, need to return DS1's well overdue library book that he 'lost'. Good job they don't fine kidsWill also hunt around the market and ask the butchers and chicken suppliers lots of questions - I'm sure they are going to be inundated with them today.
Have both next doors boys here today (9 and 12) so they are currently entertaining DS2 and on playstation. Have a friend popping round with her 2 kids later. What makes me laugh is that news of my Old Style and home cooking has reached these other kids and in fact the other primary school here - they all want their tea hereCan't be a bad thing, really
Anyway, breadmaker is on, saus casserole will be going in slow cooker shortly, washer needs to go on and I already have mountains of ironing. I managed to shampoo the living room and cloakroom carpet last night before Supermarket Secrets, but need to do hall and DS2's room later. Will attempt to do it just before I go into town this afternoon.
OK, off to sort amd print out my pm's re this OS gathering. Yippee - can't wait either. (Told Mr TM about it last night and he said "I'll just check in my diary and see what I'm doing" me - "oh no, I'm going and you ARE looking after the boys" I've never had a night away from both of them in 6 years and never away from DS2)
Catch ya later.
TM
Oh poo - just remembered I need to buy some roof bars for my car and get travel insurance sorted today. Money, money money - where does it end0 -
Hello all,
Ive got my fingers crossed for you JW, hope it goes well.
I was amazed to see the mini tornado on the news last night, I only live a few miles from there and didnt know anything about it, we just had a massive downpour here and a bit of thunder. However, had I been at work I would have been travelling the exact route the tornado took and at the time it happened too.
Yesterdays salmon was really nice, (I did it in a foil parcel in the oven with a knob of butter, squirt of lemon juice and some parsley) OH said it can feature on the menu again. Unfortunately couldnt persuade either DD's to try it, (they are the worlds worst eaters)
DD1 was so pleased with her new bedroom carpet and redocoration that she spent the entire day in it yesterday, culminating by locking herself in, (the catch between the door and the frame had "slipped" somehow. DD2 was in floods of tears (in case we forgot DD1 was in there and she never saw her again) DD1 seemed unconcerned and carried on dancing to her CD. Luckily OH arrived home in the midst of all the kerfuffle and unscrewed the door handle. DD2 was very relieved but DD1 was disappointed as she was hoping to be rescued through the window by a fireman! (Shes only 9 she must be starting young.)
I managed to do loads of housework, tidying, washing and ironing yesterday, so this morning Im baking and then Im off to visit my mom this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone!0 -
