    Hi Squiggles,

I'm quite new to OS as well, but its amazing how it just creeps up on you. I read more than I post on here but you do pick up some amazing tips from everyone on here and I'm usually inspired to try something out that I have never done before.

Just take it one step at a time. I wouldn't advise trying to do a total life makeover but by introducing small changes and sticking with them, then more small changes you will be surprised I'm sure.

oh bu99er. Got the blinds shut in the house (work men outside, me pyjamas inside) and hoyed a load of washing in, opened the door, and pfft. its weeing down! im not impressed. Ill just have to turn my little hall into a hot house again. Its a little square, say 4ftx4ft i shut all the adjoining doors, hand the clothes on the airer put on the electric heater and de-humidifier and everythings done SUPER quick. The electric heater doesnt use that much juice anyways. i work for a utilities company so i got the cheapest deal i could.

Gonna rustle up some Slow Cooker knife and fork soup in a bit as im feeling in need of a bit of stodge. Gonna rustle up some more Everday biccies for tomorrow when OH gets back as i dont think ill be off work, will prepare a casserole ready to go into the slow cooker in the morning.

Mauled the bathroom and tidied it thoroughly. Gotta wash the mats yet but that can wait with the weather :(

    Will report back later :)

Not a mega OS day today as have been doing a mock exam this morning. However, am off into town to hopefully pick up a very nice boxed set of children's classic stories I spied in one of the charity shops on my way in which will do nicely for a present for the small person at Xmas. HM veggie burgers tonight [still using up those mushrooms!!] and then finishing off cleaning the kitchen cupboards. Not terribly gripping I'm afraid!!

    Good afternoon all.....

Really warm and muggy here today - started off blue skied, now gone grey and keeps trying to rain. Wish it would make up it's mind.

Got my nice cheapie climbing frame/climbing wall delivered from BandQ yesterday - bargin at £24.99...just want a couple of dry hours so I can go put it up!!!

Popped into town this morning and got loads of bargins in boots, lots of reduced nick-nacks....curly soaps, fizzing bathbombs, simpsons coasters, make up brushes etc, all great for stocking fillers and all at silly prices...took them to the till intending to use my points but hubby's got the card!!!! When they were all scanned through they were all lower in price anyway...think the bathbombs were 50p on the packet of two but came up at 32p...can't be bad!!

An unexpected day off today and off tomorrow to visit in-laws in Wiltshire so no cooking or cleaning for 3 whole days!! whooohooo. Will pack a bag tomorrow morning and that will be the extent of it.

Need to use up some bits in the fridge that will be a bit past it if i leave them till we get back - but then again - I might just freeze anything possible and worry about it another time.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Managed to get DD's a pair of winter boots each too - half price in the sales, they were chuffed to bits as I wouldn't normally buy suede fashion things like that because they don't last - but at half price they'll be great.

  • Elona - thanks so much for the tip - I will grab some vitamin C tabs from Sainsburys when I am next in.

    Afternoon everyone

Not much doing today..... was going to wash all bedding but, it decided it was going to rain, well more of an annoying drizzle...

Did a quick hoover up this morning and went through some paper work. Have just put breadmaker to work with a nice granary loaf...

Can't quite decided what to do for tea tonight.... will have a little think about it.

I'm having a 40th birthday party in Oct so have been busy writing lists of various things. Doing all the food myself (well i do have a few volunteers to help). Having been buying things like cocktail sausages, sausage rolls etc when they've been BOGOF at Tesco. A friend for her 40th made some little mini cornish pasties so am thinking of making some and freeze ready for the big day. Trying to think of what else to do.......

I hope everyone who is feeling unwell soon get better.... and the rest of you stay healthy......

    Bye for now

    Hello All

Homemade lunch again today to take to work.

Doggie to walk when I get home, after I've made dinner for me and Nan - although don't know what to cook. Thinking maybe homemade burgers with pasta

afternoon all and great big ((((hugs)))) to all those who aren't feeling so great today.

Stuck at work until 8 again tonight (boo hiss) but have a million things to do when I get in :D

Mum's coming up tommorrow night so I need to get the flat spotless for her - all the housework bar the hoovering tonight  and at least one load in the machine as well.

I might try and get some baking done while I'm at it or at least some preparation of pastry as on saturday evening me and a number of friends are going down to stay at my parent's and then on to a Castle that has a re-enactment on the Sunday.

Mum and I are going to the farmer's market on saturday to pick up nice eats and everyone is paying me £5 to cover their saturday night dinner and sunday picnic lunch (and toast for breakfast!). I thought that some kind of quiche thing might be cheap to make for the picnic, choccie muffins and banana bread are always good too. I must take a look for burger recipies for the saturday tea (nice big juicy burgers and salad, maybe some rhubarb crumble for pud). planning planning planning :D
Pre O/S: what's a vitamin? Does it begin with the letter e?Now: I'm not eating any of that pre-made rubbish...

    afternoon my lovlies :hello:

As im still feeling a bit rough ive tidied the bathroom and kitchen, baked biscuits, finished some hair extensions, tidied bedroom and changed the bed and grown a VERY large pile of washing but as i cant hang it out and the inside airers are full and my house doesnt have radiators the pile will just have to sit and vegetate.

Been a bit over excited withthe tweezers and i have very funky thin eyebrows again (let them grow in a bit as they are so fair you can only see them whent heres loads of em  )

Gotta rustle something up for tea and then tidy round in the living room and maybe prep a casserole for OH getting back tomorrow. Cant decide if im going to go into work for 1 day tomorrow or stay at home and make sure im totally better.

    Ho hum. :rotfl:

Friend went at 3.30pm, so I spent the next hour manically tidying ready for the letting agents to check the house out - ie making sure the house is still standing. :D I hope that our landlord doesn't pay very high fees to the agent as she whizzed in through the door, into the kitchen and then back out again.

OH has text me to say that he'll be back home late from work as his computer has died. As he works in IT it's quite vital that it works! :rotfl:

Set up a "wedding file" for all my ideas and inspiration for mine and Mr-nearly-VickyA's wedding! He's going to be so proud of me    :D .
