:hello: Good Morning :hello:
It's a glorious morning here and I'm enjoying a refreshing hot water with lemon (my idea of early morning detox
)
Haven't done my To Do list (yet!) but it's such a lovely fresh morning that I'm going to start with giving the patio a wash down - the birds who perch on my pergola have made a bit of a mess of it
I'll be back later.
But, before I go ..........

Good Morning Quennie
It's a lovely morning here too. Just having my :coffee: while the house is still quiet.
Taking kids to school then off to work. PIN money challenge first day so will try to use coupons in supermarket tonight. First I must make a list ......

Good morning Queenie and Pink Fairy :hello:
Queenie the lemon drink sounds good ... I may try that tomorrow. Pink Fairy I'm with you, I like my first cup of tea in peace and quiet.
Just been copying down Jet's carrot cake recipe from the recipe thread. I'm going to give this a go this weekend
Salad for lunch today ... so off to chop the ingredients. I get a proper lunch break at work with salad. I have to keep it away from the computer so I don't drop bits into the keyboard.
Eldest daughter is moving into her student flat early (so that she can get a p/t job before all the other students next year), so tonight we are ferrying some of her worldly possessions for her. I'll also be taking her to Asda for some food shopping (OS saving for her - getting me to pay for it ).Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
School holidays start today at lunchtime up here in Scotland, so last morning of freedom for several weeks.
The sun is shining, bucket men have been (haven't been for a couple of weeks so thats something to smile about) and I am off to fill that washing machine!0 -
:hello: Good morning everyone,
Have packed our lunches (HM bread for sandwiches) as ds & I are out today (home ed. group)
Up early sweeping conservatory floor, I was going to seal it ready for tiles, but dh hasn't left the equipment. I hope this doesn't mean we can't have the tiles on tomorrow.0 -
Morning!
I've been looking through some of the OS day threads and am amazed at what you all manage to get done every day! I'm off work today so have decided to have an OS morning - perhaps I'll finally get the flat into some sort of order.
Started off by getting up and Making A To Do List over breakfast. I haven't done this for years but I think it'll stop me faffing around all morning. There's a load of washing in the machine already and a couple of piles of washing sorted and ready to go.
On a day off, I'd normally waft around in pjyamas until midday. My grandmother would have been horrified! So, in OS style, I've got dressed in 'house cleaning' clothes straight after breakfast. Even my hair's tied back, ready for action. This OS lifestyle seems to be creeping up on me rather quickly................0 -
Mornin'
The Supermarket Challenge started yesterday. Managed to get fruit and veg from an organic grocer and a few other bits and bobs. Could do witha source of cheap tinned tomatoes as we go through a lot of "value" ones normally. Any ideas people? Quite expensive for organic ones.
Today we have a "continental market" near work so will have a trip to that, maybe pick up some bread and cheeses.Bury market tomorrow for chicken and meat stuff.
have a feeling i'm going to enjoy this challenge!
Oh yeah. HM quiche in lunch box today (again). As well as baking a cake tonight (under instruction) i'm also having a go at pasta. OH found her pasta making machine from her time at catering college so that should be interesting if nowt else.0 -
Morning!!
Sooo tired today, dress down friday though. Always makes me smile, I had never really noticed until I moved to this office where they have a dress down friday, how many places have a dress down friday! On the bus earlier all the "regulars" were in jeans! I am so slow, mind you, mornings and I have never got on!
Oh well... sitting around at work, have finished all my bits and bobs.... I'm being paid then to browse for money saving tips! Off to look at yummy recipes for baking over the weekend I think!
Not very OS but I do always bring a packed lunch, which has lately included a little freezer pack thingy I got from Lakeland, stays cool almost all day!
Might invest in a little insulated lunch box, any reccomendations?
See you in a bit.... tempted by carrot cake mention on fruit loaf thread!oooh look only about 220 posts and I got round to doing my Avatar already!!0 -

Well here I am. Back in work - work with a dodgy foot are you mad I hear you all cry! Well, I shall simply say that in the NHS any form of being ill by the workforce is a source of great frowning upon....... OH got me a tubigrip yesterday for added "visual aid" for my boss - couldn't find one in the house  so went out and got me a large - as I have small ankles
So it is sitting on my foot like a giant sock...... I guess I will have to get another one on my way home. OH is also in Sunny Skipton today installing some underfloor heating - hurrah we may have some money :j He's been at this new business since November and this will be the first clear payment he has had where he has been able to fulfill it from his stock :j I may celebrate with a  Not very OS today I think - although I have come into work (my GP will be horrified) as I had left some private ortho work in the tape machine and want to finish it as it's £20 per report and there's 2 on the tape! See how OS I am - I'm in pain but still I think of earning!
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green0
