here here rage!! well said. i could'nt of put it better myself. Jo i know how u feel, i have failed research twice this year and the I am waiting to see if i can do it again!! god its a pain!! When i think about quitting, i just have to look at the alternative, going back to work, which was shift work and nearlly killed me!! so doing research again is better than going to work. me thinks!!

keep your pecker up!! just go and see the principle and see what he suggests. last week i went to the director of our course and had a chat he was really lovely and he made me feel much better!! anyway go see him and have a chat then look at options..

    hope this helps,

    love dorry xx

Got all my washing done and out drying, beds changed and bits for the summer fete organised before doing the school run [one of the joys of having been asked to be PTA chairman and agreeing to it!] Have just nipped into town and found out that Wilkinsons have started to stock Ecover goods at cheaper prices than the supermarket. Hurrah. Have also completed husband's birthday presents- a book by his favourite author for £5 instead of £8 and a Jethro Tull Cd to which they've added a couple of extra tracks which were previously hard to come by for £7.99. The saving has allowed me to get him another CD. Tonight I shall make a HM birthday cake- he's asked for coffee and walnut. Tomorrow we're going to branch out and try out the BM recipe for chocolate bread and we're going to have one of the home grown lettuces that my boss gave me the seedling for. I'm going to try out lettuce soup with the remaining ones so we don't waste them. Have a fab weekend.

P.S. I must be a true old styler now because I put my hand up and admit that I bought to compilation CDs for £5 in Wilko last week for Christmas but haven't actually been brave enough to own up to it until now!!

Well, to keep you company...I bought a "crooners" Christmas CD in Oxfam when we were on holiday in April!...haven't listened to it yet though...saving it for a little later in the year! ;)

    Aww, chin up Jo!

When I finished my a levels I had been through so much family wise that I couldn't bear the thought of Uni of anything else (there wasn't, or didn't seem to be anyone about who could help me let alone understand what I was going through) Not going to go over over it tho becaus it was years ago now! But I do wish I had done something about it then! Go and speak to them, I'm sure that they would be happy to support you and spur you on!

And keep coming back here, we will cheer you on! :grouphug:

I agree with Rage have a  and make something yummy and slob out for a bit, give yourself a break! Best of luck.... when were you born?? just curious, Loadsabob has sent me off at a tangent! :D

Not a lot of old style going on here today. I'm actually worrying a bit cos DH will be home tonight so it's the first time he'll have seen the caravan and his lorry curtains and the first chance I get to check they'll fit :(
Bought myself a new dress for the Truck show on Sunday (got it reduced to £7.50 because it needed a seam resewing), stocked up my bread and cake making cupboard and totally forgot to get batteries for the camera. DH is doing the main ring display (a race between two teams loading and unloading a 9 car transporter) its the first time it's been done in Britain apparently so I MUST remember to find the camcorder!
Children break up tonight so I might get away with baking less bread for the next couple of months? Just need to find an OS version of valium that doesn't involve alcohol :D

Bit of a triumph as he has homeschooled since age 9 and the other college said he wouldnt know enough to do his A levels (Even though he has done his GCSE's at adult ed).
Culpepper: Well done to DS! We also home educate & DS1 went to college (with no GCSEs & is now an electroncs engineer, but you do sometimes need to get past some people with prejudices, don't you!
Did you have to pay for adult ed, or did he do GCSEs post 16?

Finished my course today. Hurrah! Now, as OH's mum says, I'm unemployed. If anyone knows of any primary teaching jobs ANYWHERE in this galaxy, please let me know :D.

Anyway, not been overly OS today.............. as yet. Took packed lunch to college though. Just been looking at the possibility of selling some of my old text books on ebay too. Hopefully that would generate a bit of cash.

Just about to probably make some veggie pasta sauce with some veggies that I've got left over before I go and house sit at my parents'. Ooooh, I'll look for Curry Queen's curry sauce too. That sounded really yummy.

Off out for a curry tonight with some friends who we haven't seen since Easter as they're living in Spain. And tomorrow night we're going to a classical music and fireworks thing at a stately home, with cannons and everything!
