Don't know why I bothered to look, but I went to the very last page (58) of Old style, and the very last post listed ... is from me!
I know you didn't want to know that, but it is my only claim to OS fame!0 -
Blummin' old f@rts hang around don't they?
Was it really you? I'm gonna have to go back and look now. Did I index your post in the MEGA thread or was it just a hello type one?
Dunno what I'm asking for - it's easy enough to go find out for myself! So I will
There's some darn good stuff hidden away back there in the dark - I hope everyone is enjoying trawling the MEGA thread
Edit: Ah... the last answer to the first thread. Hmm...
When it comes right down to it, I suppose I really OUGHT to index that first post by MSE Martin right at the top of the list in the MEGA Index. After all - it's what established Old Style as Old Style.

I'm thinking of Home Educating my children. They're not quite school age yet so we've got time to fully consider it. Just worried about taking the plunge....
new breamaker finally turned up today... hurray!... except it had a huge dint in it. So it'll be going back and goodness knows when i'll be getting my replacement :mad:0 -

REALLY!!
I tried to find a way to email you to ask how you were getting along and why you hadn't posted recently...
..I couldn't PM you because you weren't on line...
..I couldn't email you from your MSE profile because you have that option switched off...
..then I found your website (via MSE TYVM) but I'm blowed if I could find a way to "contact me" from there either.
So I thought... well blow ya!... talk ta me when yer ready, ya tart!
Or words to that effect
But really, it's good to see you back with us

:hello: Morning All
Today is family day. We have English Heritage membership, so our trip to the castle will be "free" and I'll pack up a lunch so there won't be any temptation to splurge on over priced drinks/snacks.
The uniforms are all washed and on the line and the bread is now cooling too.
I'll have a hoover round when the house wakes up, but other than that, we're simply going to have some fun
Enjoy your Saturday everyone ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Morning Queenie,
I was thinking at silly o'clock this morning how my boys never seem to manage to find socks as they hide them in any drawer that comes to hand so I've a plan. I'm going to sew an old tshirt into a bag and put it on a hanger, pair the socks up into a ball and then they SHOULD be able to find them easier. Think I might set my daughter onto that one when she gets up. The children have now broken up for the summer so I'm picking through their uniforms to see what is outgrown and getting the new stuff sorted now so theres no last minute panic. (We're away the week before they go back anyway)
The curtains fitted his lorry so I'm chuffed with that (he's now requested a new matteress because he likes the ones in the caravan but he can wait.
Washing machine is on for the first of many loads and by the look of the weather they should be all able to go outside, no baking for me but I might get some snacks made for tomorrow at the truck show, thanks Queenie I'd forgotten how expensive food is at these things.
Have a great day everyone0 -
Good morning Queenie and BethScott :hello:
Sounds like you are both going to have busy days! Good idea about sorting out the uniform Queenie, its always a mad rush at the end of the holidays. BethScott, well done! Sounds as though you have done a fantastic job with your sewing skills!
It's going to be a more relaxed day today in the apple mint household after getting eldest daughter moved into her student flat. Last night we ended up cleaning the kitchen and bathroom for her and her friend ... they were pretty disgusting! The previous tennants have moved out and left all their old junk and pretty well trashed parts of the place. The landlord is sorting things out today for them ... at least he says he is!
So given that today is a pottering day, I'm planning to wander down to the charity shop for a browse, take a look in the butchers shop (a first for me as I generally use the supermarket) and look through my cookery books for some more interesting ideas for next week's menus. I think I'll also take a look at some of the OS threads on cheap and tasty cuts of meat.
But first of all I think I'll have a cup of teaEnjoying an MSE OS life0 -
Good morning Queenie.
Today is a good day as I fly up north to see the progress being made with our new bungalow. We bought 3 acres a few months ago and only got planning permission in May.
I am taking various mobile phones with me to see which provider has the best reception
if any! I think it might be my brother's vodafone!
I'll fly back on Sunday as I'm working on Monday.
Hope you have a nice day.
Margaret0
