Hello all!
My day has been getting better! This morning started painfully, so I dosed myself up and got to the interview, which went very well. Theres 3 jobs up for grabs, so here's hoping! I will know by wednesday. I decided to go shopping on my way home even though I felt awful, and avoided the fruit and veg and meat, vowing to go to the farmers market on sunday, so I just got the usuals, cat food, flour, cans, and some cartons of juice for boyf, as well as a load of water for me as im completely off sugar now.
I had another bath when I got home to relax, then had a lovely chat with a fellow MSE'er via messenger, and through lots of relaxing and painkillers and antibiotics, am feeling a hell of a lot better. Im still going to relax this evening, BB on and Orlaith OUT!! More quilting, and make something nice for dinner, but it'll probably be something quick n' easy, like pasta.
My MSE car sticker is now in the car, and looks great, so I hope the world is taking notice (although it would appear that is already the case given the site crash and Martin on the radio!!). BBLB is about to start, so my world is getting better!

I've had quite a good OS day today. Done 3 loads of washing and managed to get it all dry despite the weather being a bit overcast all day. Made a stollen in the breadmaker. Already disappeared what with 2 hungry kids, an OH and some surprise guests that turned up.
Made a lasagne with some Quorn mince that's been in the freezer for ages since it was on try-me-free a while ago. So dinner was very cheap today.
Then put the breadmaker on again to make a herby loaf (the one in the Panasonic SD253 leaflet). The receipe is basically a normal white loaf plus 3 tbsp of corriander, 3 tbsp chives, 3 tbsp parsley. I got some fresh chives and parsley from the garden and then bunged in a touch of sage and dried mixed herbs. It looked good when it went in and i could smell the herbs, I'm hoping it'll be a nice loaf (we'll find out at 7pm!)
OH has made a beanbag each for the kids (cost £4.50). He's a dab hand on the sewing machine! Kids currently slobbed out in front of cbeebies0 -
Right folks, this will be my last post for (sob) two whole weeks! OH has been trying to get me of the computer for ages............... but you know, you've got to say ciao to your friends. Don't miss me too much and I'll try to do as much money saving as I can.
By the way, sun cream is on BOGOF in Boots and I got 50 extra points.A friend that we're going with to the first week - the Lakes - thought that it was hilarious that I seemed to think we might need sun cream. Well, you never know. :rotfl:

:j Morning :j
sings: *hooray, hooray, we're off on holiday*
Yes indeed, it's that time of the year where I'm off for my OH's holiday away from me jabbering about MSE on a daily basis - I'll just think about you lot.
Made loads of blueberry muffins last night - didn't get to bed until 11.15pm. Had always previously thought that my muffin tin from Lakeland was a frivilous expense - until last night. I put some muffins in the muffin tin to bake and the rest on a baking tray. Result? Gorgeous muffins from the muffin tin and road kill on the baking tray. As we're going on holiday with a Delia clone, I will be taking the perfect ones with us and the road kill have gone in the freezer! :rotfl:
Whilst up in the Lake District, I will be making a pilgrimage to........ the Lakeland shop (HQ) in Windermere! If you've never been there, well it could be described as heaven on earth. EVERY product from their catalogue, a sale section to make you go weak at the knees, your normal helpful shop assistants, a restaurant (will be trying this with Delia clone) and for the men/bored OH? Newspapers and FREE internet access. Oh yes, and clean loos.
Anyway, I'd better go and get myself sorted - plenty of reading material for the drive up, good job I've got my HP book.
Don't miss me too much. And say hi to Martin :money: if he happens to pop by.Sealed Pot Challenge #021 #8 975.71 #9 £881.44 #10 £961.13 #11 £782.13 #12 £741.83 #13 £2135.22 #14 £895.53 #15 £1240.40 #16 £1805.87 #17 £1820.01 declared0
