Morning all, another dry forecast so decided to wash the bedding which is now out on the and blowing nicely. Should dry OK. Obviously will need to make the bed again later.
Menu looks better @glad with a bit more Speed. Sounds as though you picked the least worst option when eating out last night. Definitely worth picking meals with more veg for your DH to cook. Planning I find really helps with making sure I get all the food groups and getting enough Speed foods in.
Popped out to do a bit of shopping but didn't need very much but had run out of eggs and mushrooms both of which I need in the next couple of days! Spent less than £15 which is completely unheard of normally!
Today's plan:
B - Welsh rarebit, pickled onions - Fibre, Calcium, P, F
L - pesto pasta - S; F; 3
D - steak, chips, onions, mushrooms - P; S; FFibre - bread
Calcium - cheese & milk in drinksSwips - olive oil 3
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
Glad DDad is home @Jellybaby but feel your pain re: the independence thing. Good to concentrate on yourself for now and eating better xx
My BIL is in for his 3rd of 4 immunotherapy sessions today. He’s not coping too well - just rubbish.
Also rubbish is the garage door debacle. Fitter has returned today to actually link them both up to electricity rather than just the one. The one was linked up via multiple extension leads. Have sent an email strongly worded email this morning to the company citing my consumer rights. Fitter said door dent can be filled - no thanks I want a new door! Was awake at 4am running through it all.
Am at the theatre in London tonight so will take a train picnic as we won’t have time to eat in a restaurant. Will pop to Co-op for bits later.Food today:
B - satsuma, maple porridge sachet, milk, banana - S, HEB, 1/2 HEA (as used half milk half water), free
L - JP, LO chilli, salad, pickles - 1, free, S
D - train picnic
HEA - milk
Syns - 1 plus skinny bar 3 = at least 4

Sorry but we cross posted yesterday @Matron_Midge and I missed your 1.2lbs loss.👍🏻Very well done! Now you can go off on your holiday, enjoy every delicious swip you fancy and then start all over again. 🤣
It's so hard keeping going with SW when RL gets in the way. Seems that stresses with family members are top of the list at the moment. I know it's not easy but keeping your own strength up by taking control of your healthy eating has to be the best way. It sounds so very hard with your mum @Longwalker and your parents being stubborn doesn't help either @Jellybaby. 🤗
Commiserations on your gain yesterday @Coxy11 , but thankfully very small. What a great idea to have a train picnic, both SW friendly and mse.👍🏻 It got me thinking that when we go on Eurostar next month I'll definitely do the same as we have a lunchtime departure. Well done on your very mse shop @joedenise .
I think we'd call the Boden skirt fitting a NSV @beanielou . Well done, having your mum staying hasn't been too disastrous on the weight front.👏🏼
Perhaps when you've finished off the cream crackers you could try Ryvita thins like @bubbs eats or some other low syn cracker although having chicken and tomatoes as a SP snack is perfect @Suffolksue . 😇
My DH makes breakfast everyday here🥰 @Glad so when I started SW I gave him a list of what I would eat. We cut out things like croissants, muffins and crumpets (frightening number of swips in those bagels BTW @Coxy11) and changed to SW friendly foods. It can be a bit samey and he tries to ring the changes but I knew almost 100% what I'd have today as there were baked beans left in the fridge from last night's dinner. You're doing the right thing to have fruit after your JP but a salad on the side would work too. Most cafés serve salad with JPs so it's not unusual.
JP for lunch here today. As we didn't have a traditional Sunday roast I don't have any LO veg to use up as I usually do at the start of the week. Also, we're having pasta two days running which is poor planning on my part but I like to have a freezer meal when I'm going dancing.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, fried eggs (P), baked beans (F), HEA1 milk for drinks
L- JP(F), chicken curry (P,S), salad (S)
D- Spaghetti Bolognese (P,S,F), HEA2 Parmesan
Swips- 01 -
My train picnic consists of:
Co-op fajita chicken salad
Watermelon slices
2 hard boiled eggs
I will share the melon and eggs with DSis who is taking a wrap from home.
The salad pot was the lowest kcal as most had mayo. This does have dressing but I can pick through it.Cross-stitch WIP: Haberdashery Shop Fiver Friday challenge 2026 founding member 😊 Read 26 books in 2026 8/26 Currently reading Raven Black by Ann Cleeves1 -

Change of plan for dinner tonight! I'd forgotten I'd got the cubed beef out so have made a madras curry so we'll have that with some rice later. Few more swips for mango chutney - 3.

Lovely picnic @Coxy11 .Enjoy it and enjoy the theatre. 😊
Sorry I got the crackers wrong @bubbs .I know they aren't huge but 8 for fibre is generous.
Enjoy your curry @joedenise .Mine was delicious on the baked potato at lunch time. It was a bit low on chicken so I took a tip from @Longwalker and added a dollop of Greek yogurt. There're lentils in the Bolognese as well as meat so with my 2 eggs for breakfast I think I'm OK for protein today.

Thanks everyone. I am really pleased with my loss. I’m confident any holiday gain can be rectified when we get home. After all that is what holidays are for - a bit/lot of what you fancy.
At lunchtime today I bobbed into a charity shop and bought my 1st ever (well since being a proper grown up buying my own clothes) size 10 top. It’s a brand new with tags FatFace fine knit sweater with 3/4 sleeves. It’s a really pretty shade of dusky blue which I (now I know it fits - was a bit of a punt) will be taking away on holiday. It will be perfect with white trousers if we get a chilly evening and will be a change from dresses and cardigans. Only paid £4.99 for it.
@joedenise we are going to Tenerife. It’s a trip with some friends that we’ve known since our 1st babies were born almost 30 years ago. We met in what we laughingly called “panting class” - antenatal for the better behaved participants. We used to go on holiday all together with the children for years and decided one evening we needed some sun so booked on spec. We’ve booked a villa with a pool. There will be golf for the menfolk and a horse riding trip for all of us (that is always what the children wanted to do given the choice) going on a full days hack in the national park and up to the lower slopes of Mt Teide. We all ride regularly so won’t be too sore with a full day in the saddle. Other than that we have no plans but relaxing and getting some sun on our bones. Can hardly wait.

day 2 in work so breakfast and lunch a repeat of yesterday except I've brought 2 boiled eggs in for P. Snacky things are good for work, if we don't get proper breaks we can fit in 5 mins here and there.
Dinner will be veggie sausage, mash, carrots, peas and broccoli.
We have 3 dogs and often go out for a hike and take a picnic with us, my go to was always tuna mayo on heavily buttered crusty rolls, with teddy crisps and fruit. I need to rethink this, we haven't been on any long hikes so far as I've had bursitis in my hip since a daft fall off the stairs! I'd still like a 'sandwich' option as it's filling but looking at lowest swip value baps etc, any ideas?
