Afternoon all, a lovely day so another load of washing done and out on the line. Looks as though it's dry but I'll leave it another hour or so before I get in in and put away.

Decided to go to the garden centre this morning for our free hot drink, ordered it and sat down and after waiting about 15 minutes and no sign of it found out there was another half our wait - 45 minutes for a hot drink no thank you so we cancelled our order and left. When I cancelled the order the girl wasn't happy and said I'll have to go and tell the kitchen don't to make it and can't do it on the till! Said I didn't think it was good enough to have to wait 45 minutes just for a hot drink and all she said was "we're doing the best we can!". If that's their best goodness knows what their worst is like! Glad I hadn't actually paid for it with real money!

@glad - for your long hikes have you thought about using crustless wholemeal bread as you can have 3 slices of that so could make a lovely club sandwich and fill it with protein of some sort - ham, cheese (using HE), hard boiled egg and then loads of salad. If you don't want to use too many Swips you could spread the bread with Light or Lighter than Light mayo instead of butter. Add to that some fruit; maybe a packet of hula hoops or similar. You could take a flask of coffee if you want a hot drink or some sugar free squash for a cold drink. You could even take a flask of hot soup if the weather is a bit chilly.

    Today's plan:

    B - baked oats; fruit; ff greek yoghurt - fibre; P; S
    L - minced beef hash - P; S; F; followed by a mini mix lolly 6
D - steak, chips, onions, mushrooms - P; S; F (what we should have had last night!)

    Calcium - milk in teas
    Fibre - oats
    Swips - mini mix 6

    Have a good day everyone.

@Glad I tend to make y sandwich from my HEB choice - wholemeal roll usually. I have tuna mixed with finely chopped cucumber and red onion mixed with 0% yog or vlf Mayo for swips. When we are out and about we sometimes take a cold pasta salad or free soup in a flask to help fill the hole. If we have crisps I swip them.

    Hi all,

Really late night after a stellar theatre performance. Not sure why some people attend though - group of 3 behind us chatting throughout and the lad in front of DSis nodded off and was snoring. We left the theatre at 9pm and travelled over to the O2 so DD could drive us home. An event had just finished at the O2 and roads around the parking lots were gridlocked, then the slip road to get on the A road home was blocked so went across Greenwich, Shooters Hill, and Blackfen. Poor DD was running on fumes so we stopped at the services at 11.30pm and I paid for some petrol. Got home at midnight. Poor DD was back in the office today but I had a lie in as didn't start until 10am, only DH phoned me at 7.30am and woke me up!!

    Onto food (!):

    B - banana

L - toasted protein bagel thin, 3 AF turkey rashers, poached egg, cherry tomatoes - HEB, ??, P, S

    D - spaghetti bolognaise, parmesan - P, free, S, HEA

    HEA - milk

    Syns - ripple!!

I worked until nearly 2pm and then took a walk in the lovely sunshine down to the Post Office, Library and to Co-op to buy some bread. Had a 50p MOC on Galaxy and due to a mithering headache got a Ripple which I've just enjoyed with my daily coffee.

Beginning to realise I am the group attendee who never loses anything and just turns up for the craic 😱

Please can someone check syn value of Matteson smoked turkey rashers and Galaxy Ripple - TIA. xxx

@coxy11 , its pure !!!!!! isnt it? BIL has been on chemo 3 hours on , 6 hours off , 3 days a week with 2 chemos into his spine since November. Hes had his last lot now but back in as hes got a raging temp. Once that's under control they start his radio and then that's it - total isolation until hes fit enough for the stem cell and then still total until it takes

My wee sister is being so bloody brave, and she's finding the strength to support me with mum. We chat - total rubbish, we have a laugh, a lot of gallows humour - helps both if us

    HUGE ((((((((((((HUGS )))))))))))))

@Matron_Midge - well done on the loss xxx

@bubbs , I had to do that test twice, and cart those containers to and from work on the bus.

@Glad, my picnic special is a Warburtons wholemeal pitta - HE. They are already spit and open easily. I "butter" the inside with a dairy lea light then pile in the salad, add the protein, top with more salad and the likes of pickled pink onions or pink slaw. I'm talking packed, like a takeaway kebab . Seriously filling , easy to eat. The pink onions or slaw give enough moisture so they are arent at all dry and the warburtons are think enough to hold together so they dont fall apart when eating

My struggle at the moment is actually finding time to eat during the day. Today I was up and away at 5:30, home for 10;30, dog walked, in at 11:30 sat with a coffee for half hour ( its my wind down and warm up treat ) . Then chores , shower and out the door for 1;30pm for the hospital. Visited till 3:30 then a double distance drive back as hairdresser in the next town up. Home at 6:30pm Dinner on table at 7:30pm - 14 hours on the go with just a coffee and 2 Diet Pepsi . Dinner was on plan, chicken skewers, salad and HM wedges , and I added half a pot of free cottage cheese to help fill me Trouble was so hungry I wolfed it, couldn't manage it all and the dog and cat finished the chicken.

However meals are ( when I get there ) are full of speed , even if quickly cooked ( I think 30 mins cooking is plenty ) Without mum here to cater too I can use rice and noodles and spaghetti more and Im cobbling together a lot of eat from a bowl, eat with a fork meals , one pot meals

Anyways , 5:30 comes early Id best try for some sleep. Hot flushes are back, Ive been sat here in a puddle and am dreading bed
