Time for a new Slimming World thread as we go into 2026.
Feel free to join in.
We are all at different stages of our journey & some are awesome target members.
We are a lovely supportive wee group.
Some go to group & some go it alone.
As we move into new year  feel free to pop in to our lovely thread.
All welcome.

SW have tweaked the plan slightly as we go into 2026 & we say hello to SWIP's & healthy fats & more flexability with healthy extra's.

  • Well hello and happy new year.
Some of you may remember me. I’ve dipped in and out of the SW threads on here for a number of years.
I was a target member at SW meetings but covid struck and the NHS asked me back. I’ve happily been un-retired ever since working 4 weekday shifts a week.
The good news is that I’ve stayed in target range but I am a lapsed member so if it’s ok, I’d like to join you again.
I’ll weigh in at work on Monday to see what the Christmas/NY damage is and then I’ll be knuckling down as its 9 weeks until our 1st holiday of the year in the canaries.

Morning all, weather doesn't look too bad at all - at least it's dry but definitely very cold with the forecast showing a bit of snow tomorrow - very unusual if we do get any as it's usually relatively warm compared with the rest of the country!

Thanks for the new thread @beanielou.

Welcome back @Matron_Midge and @Betharooni to the thread.  I think we're all planning on getting back on plan now to shift the Christmas weight!

I'm still getting through the washing mountain.  Have done 4 loads so far, another in the machine and probably another 2 to do after that.  By the time I get this lot done it'll be time to do the bedding again!

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
    L - gammon, lettuce, tomato sandwich - HEB; P; S; 1.5
    D - pork fillet and vegetable tray bake - 0.5 HE fat; 0.5 HEA2; P; S; F; 1

    HEA1 - milk
    HEA2 - 0.5 parmasan
    HEB - bread
HE fat - 0.5 olive oil
    Swips:  LF spread 1.5; maple syrup 1;

Assume I'm OK to split one of the HEs between and A and fat!

Happy New Year to you all.

Please can I join? I'm not currently a member so have very little idea of the new SWIP system, I just know I can have avocado now! I've previously been a member on red/green system, and Extra Easy so have a general idea of what does and doesn't work.

Starting at 177lb, my initial target is 157lb to get my BMI back into healthy range.

    Thanks!

Welcome @lilian1977 to the 2026 SW thread.  I don't go to group now but from what I can gather Swips is just the new word for Syns!

There's a list of the new Healthy Fats on the previous 2025 thread which @bubbs posted.  I'll see if I can find it and post it.  You can now have 3 HEs in any combination.

I know that Avocado is 80g as a Healthy fat!  I will definitely be incorporating this from time to time as I often used to syn it anyway so will at least save on syns.
