Sorry @Glad ,meant to say you've had a good day with plenty of Body Magic. 👍

Dinner is low on Speed but as you've had fruit and salad you'll probably be OK.

Today started off wet here but cleared up at lunch time and was SUNNY all afternoon. 😲

Morning all, didn't sleep well last night and was awake about 5 for quite a while, eventually decided to go to the loo and then went back to bed and slept for a couple of hours so feel a bit better than I did when I got up for the loo!

Forecast is for dry weather until about 6pm so have decided to get a couple of loads of washing done and out on the line. Hopefully it will all dry but suspect some may need to go in the TD after I bring it in as there are towels and my fleecy dressing gown amongst it.

Well done on getting most those spindles done @Glad; shame you hadn't bought quite enough brackets but at least you could still buy them and you'll be able to finish them off. After all that work I hope you really like how they look.

@Suffolksue I have carbs with every meal but don't restrict what I want but I find that having the amount recommended on the pack is a good sized portion and does help to fill me up. My batch cooked meals also have plenty of Speed foods in them like @maman's so don't have salad with them.

I also have fruit and FF greek yoghurt every evening, not usually straight after dinner but maybe an hour or so later. The Greek yoghurt is much more filling than the greek style but I definitely enjoy it more. I have my preferred shop for each - Lidl for the Greek and Tesco for the Greek style. I buy the greek style when I have overnight oats planned as is mixes better with the oats or if I'm not going over to Lidl that week for any reason.

Sometimes I wish I had an ice cream maker like @bubbs has - her ice cream always looks great even though it's actually made with greek style yoghurt rather than the real thing!

    Today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, fruit - Fibre; Calcium; S; F
    L - Sausage Tartiflette - P; S; 1
D - Pork and apple meatloaf; sage and onion roasties, veg - P;S; F; 2

    Calcium - milk x 2
    Fibre - Weetabix
Swips - sausage 1; breadcrumbs, bit of grated apple 2

    Have a good day everyone.

Morning all, not posted over the weekend as dad ended up back in hospital and after a lot of running around stayed with my mum as she was insistent she was coping, but wasn’t.

Dad is ok and getting out about lunchtime. For nearly 91, he’s in better shape than me 🤣🤣 SW slowly went out of the window and yesterday I ate anything that wasn’t nailed down!

I managed weigh and go and lost a wee half pound. Well done to all the losers and welcome back @Suffolksue . I eat carbs as they keep me full but they’re also my triggers so eat the recommended amount on the packets. It does look tiny in comparison to what I used to eat but with tummy issues too I’ve found this works for me.

Breakfast was the usual cereal, fruit and yogurt, lunch will have to be worked around hospital pick up but there’s a portion of soup in the fridge if I’m here. Dinner is definitely from the freezer 😁 probably bolognaise.

I tried to read along on my phone but hope everyone is well. You’re in my thoughts @Longwalker look after yourself too 🥰

hope your Dad is recovering Jellybaby.

My batch cooks have extra veg in them but never mushrooms - I don’t like them ,but also stomach wise can only cope with a v small amount .

Yesterday’s evening meal worked well .

    Today I have had

B I weetabix with blueberries, stewed apple and a banana with Aldi Ff Greek yogurt and 1 slice toast with marmite

    Have just had

4 cream crackers ( the old app said they were 11/2 syns each with marmite,a hard boiled egg and baby tomatoes.

Am out to my scrabble group in a bit and will no doubt have a biscuit with my coffee

This evening I have a home made SW chilli will have a small portion of rice ,is 50 g dry weight ok ?
might put a bit of salad with it

Later there’s more apple and yogurt

Think that’s 6 syns and whatever the biscuit is .

    Will report back

    Afternoon all 😁

Jelly well done on your loss and hope your dad is ok .

Denise i use greek yoghurt for ice cream, that's the only yoghurt i buy as a rule.

SSue, well done, cream crackers are 2 each unless sainsburys and they are 1.5 each, don't forget to count your cooked apple, either 300g for a fibre choice or 4.5 sv.

Well we had news we didn't want this morning 😢 my BIL was taken ill at the weekend and ended up at A&E, loads of scans and tests and he has a tumour on his kidney 😢 They are not sure yet if it's the big C, he has to go back today and then waiting for biopsies , but with the experience we have had with DH they will move quickly hopefully.

Lovely sunny day here, can't wait to be able to hang my washing out, it's the small things 🤣

    Lunch i had

2 ryvita cracker bread 2 sv, i scrambled the yolks from when i made meringue last night and put on the top and had picky stuff with it.

Chicken in pitta with salad and BNS chips for tea

sorry to hear about your BIL @bubbs I hope a diagnosis comes quickly.

@Suffolksue I find once I start with carbs I want to keep on going. If I have a protein/veg meal I can avoid the nibbles. I’m ok with Potatoes but pasta/bread/rice set me off on the nibble train.

I’ve weighed in this morning and lost 1.2lb. Yay me! We go away at the weekend so I’ll be back in around a fortnight to fess up to the damage.

Sorry @bubbs to hear about your BIL. Hopefully things will move very quickly they usually do in these cases.

I thought you usually used the Tesco greek style yoghurt, didn't realise you brought proper greek yoghurt, sorry for misleading others!

Hope your dad is home now @jellybaby and that he's OK.

Well done on your loss @Matron_Midge. Enjoy your holiday. Where are you off to?

Sorry to hear the news about your BIL @bubbs. Let's hope it's good news and can be sorted easily. Our local teaching hospital pioneered a keyhole procedure for zapping kidney tumours with a laser (now widely used) so it could be easy to treat. 🫰🏻

Hope your dad is back home and feeling better @Jellybaby . I'm not surprised you went off plan with all the upheaval. I'm sure you'll get back on it soon as you can. Well done on your wee half pound on Saturday.👍🏼

I know you said you were using up windfalls from a friend @Suffolksue so don't worry over much about the swips in stewed apple although perhaps not twice a day. When it's used up perhaps just have fresh fruit or frozen berries with your yogurt.

I'd say 50g of dry rice is quite a small portion but that's not usually how I measure it. I always cook a large pot and freeze it in 250g portions (for two of us) as that's the size of the microwave pouches they sell. Like @joedenise , I always measure my pasta and rice. Chip portions are limited by the size of the tray I use (one of those mesh things) to cook them and I always add in some carrot chips to up the Speed. For potatoes, I make sure we have plenty of other 'carby' Speed veg like carrots and swede alongside the greens so don't feel the need for huge portions of potatoes.

Another veg I use in my Bolognese etc. is baby sweetcorn. I thought of it today when I noticed a few bits of (non Speed) corn in my stir fry. It was from a YS bag so not something I'd put together myself.

It's been a lovely day here too @joedenise . Unfortunately, it wasn't predicted by the forecast so I cleared all my washing yesterday. ☹️ The next couple of days are looking good, especially Wednesday when we go to my cousin for lunch. She lives near Brighton so I may even get close to the seaside! 😁😎

    Today's plan-
B- HEB porridge, banana (F), blueberries (S), HEA milk
    L- ham (P), stir fried veg (S), sweetcorn (F☹️😉)
D- sausage casserole with penne (P,S,F)
    Swips- BGTY sausages 2

Thanks everyone, just hope it's all ok. 10 years this week since we lost my other BIL to cancer, don't know how it can be 10 years! seems about 5 at the most.

Denise, i can't remember when i last shopped in tesco so not me, i use lidl Greek protein ff yoghurt unless i get any from the company shop.

Well done MM on your loss 👏👏

Well the lovely day here has returned to normal…………….rain!
