Strange that the diagnosis for your DH just appeared in writing @TakeItEazy .You're right to go together to the next appointment and get it explained properly. Pleased you both can talk about it. 🤗
Hope you get the garage doors sorted @Coxy11, it sounds like a replacement is needed. 🤔
I agree about the cost of taxis. We're fortunate here that public transport is excellent so haven't used one in this country for a long time. You're very kind to give your friend a lift @joedenise .
Sorry to hear about your arms @bubbs .Do you think you've strained muscles. 🤔
Thanks for the info on the honey cornichons. How strange that they're only free not Speed.
You did really well to eat out and stay within swips for the day @Glad .You were lucky to have chosen somewhere that does new potatoes, often chips are the only option.
My back is playing up today so DH insisted on coming with me to do the food shopping. I managed to get all I needed in Aldi so didn't take long and DH didn't pick up anything that wasn't on the list! That's a first! He might be allowed to come again. 🤣
Today's plan -
B HEB porridge, HEA milk, blueberries (S), banana (F)
L- warm ham and egg salad (P, S, F)
D - cod (P), SW chips (F), tomatoes, mushrooms, green stuff (S)
Swips - weekend wine 🍷

Morning all, weather looking OK this morning, a bit grey but at least it's not raining.
DH has decided to book another holiday! for our wedding anniversary in April. I hate it when he does this when I haven't actually been saving for it so have had to move some money around in order to pay for it. It will need paying for at the time of booking. Fortunately it's a relatively cheap one but it's still annoying. We'll be having holidays every month from March to November this year!
Good idea @TakeItEazy to go to your DH's hosptial appointment and ask questions and hopefully get some answers.
Hope your arms start feeling better soon @bubbs. Probably good that you're not doing orders this week as it will give you a bit of rest although with moving back home you'll still probably have a bit of lifting to do.
I weighed this morning and have only lost the 0.2lb which I put on last week so am back where I was the week before last. Absolutely no hope of getting rid of almost 2lb before we go on holiday in less than 2 weeks time. I'll just have to do my best this week. No meals out planned so at least meals will be on plan all week!
Today's plan:
B - fry up with bacon - P; S; F
L - burger, onions, gherkins, soft pitta - Fibre; S; 0.5
D - mushroom stroganoff, rice - Calcium; S; FCalcium - milk; Seriously Strong Light
Fibre - soft pitta
Swips - burger 0.5; 2 x G&T 6Have a good day everyone.

good morning
8am class today as we’re stripping the staircase and putting in metal spindles.
I lost another 2lb which is 9.5lb in total 🥳
Really happy with that, one meal out and the Friday malteasers makes it feel pretty normal eating, but losing weight too.
Off to get back to stripping 😜

Well done @Glad. The weight is coming off nicely.
I'm glad you told us you're stripping the staircase otherwise your last sentence may have been misconstrued!

Well done Glad and Denise 👏👏👏 i lost 0.5 so my Maltesers snacksiddent was ok too 🤣🤣
Where you going now Denise 🤣 make the most of it while you can.
DH won't let me carry anything so my arms will get a rest, picked up my strong pain killers from home, joint for tomorrow and some Ryvita crackerbread, forgot the milk, will get that tomorrow.
Group was quiet today only 37 through but it is half term so few people were away but i don't remember that many booking holidays.
Lunch 4 sv for the crackerbread

DH decided on Olu Deniz, Turkey for our anniversary. Hotel looks to be quite big so plenty of walking will be done and that's just to get to the beach! We tend to walk along the promenade rather than on the beach though as it's easier, especially with DH's hip playing up at the moment.
Our holiday in a couple of weeks is the one to Agadir, Morocco. I'm looking forward to the taglines but not much else about the holiday but again DH's choice as it's where we were supposed to be going for his 75th which got cancelled.
Well done on your loss @bubbs; glad the Maltesers snackcident didn't do too much damage! Glad you were able to get your strong painkillers, joint and Crackerbreads today. Not long until you're back home permanently! Bet you can't wait.

Well it will be warm Denise, so enjoy! You never know might love both and end up going again 😁
Thanks, i have been good all week, yes i had pancakes , the lemon meringue pie but was still below my sv .
No will soon be home, Yippeeeee!! Will go home tomorrow but needed the joint out to defrost. I said to DH will see what's in the freezer here for meals and bring back what we need.
Is this me? I know we wouldn't do it, but there is supposed to a cost of living crisis but all these cakes sheds keep popping up , i know i wouldn't pay £10 for this, maybe i am tight 🤣🤣 if i was out at a cafe etc it's different but to have in the car or take home, no!!

I wouldn't pay that either @bubbs - obvioulsly other people do! I only ever buy cakes for DH and then only from Lidl where they're much cheaper and recently only as part of the Free Bakery thing! He had a Belgian bun today! Next time we go he's got a choice of an apple turnover or a chocolate hazelnut croissant - suspect he'll choose the apple turnover!
