Morning,
Sorry to read your post @TakeItEazy - is there any possibility of taking a break from work or going part time to have more time with DH and take some time for yourself? Work sounds relentless especially with extra responsibilities xx
It’s mizzly rain here and we have new garage doors being fitted today. I’ll be working from DD’s bedroom to keep away from the noise 🤞🏻
Thank you for the swip value @bubbs - they were quite spicy - think they were a Valentine special but could be wrong - I don’t normally buy readymade meals like that.
Today’s food:
B - toasted protein bagel, poached egg, baked beans, satsuma - HEB, P, free, S
L - JP, chilli, salad, pickles - 1, free, S
D - sticky chicken, rice, pak Choi - 1, free, S
HEA - milk
Syns - skinny bar 3 plus 2 = 5

Morning all, it's still raining here after quite heavy rain last night. The weather warning was for heavy rain until abut 8am so hopefully it will stop soon as need to go out to pick something up from Argos which DH ordered last night, so off to Sittingbourne again! Don't usually go twice in one week but as we'll be down there will pop into Lidl and pick up a Free vegetable and a Free filled muffin or yum yum for DH.
So sorry to read your post @TakeItEazy. As others have said look after yourself. Is it half term at your school this week? It sounds as if you should give up responsibility for the first aid stuff with all that is going on. Your 1 to 1 sounds more than enough to deal with. Take care.
Today's plan:
B - Welsh rarebit, pickles - HEA2; HEB; S; F
L - Ham and pepper omelette, chips - P; S; F (last of the SW chips - can't say I'm impressed with them!)
D - chicken tagine, herby couscous - P; S; FCalcium - milk & cheese
Fibre - breadSwips - none planned but may have a skinny bar 3-5 depending on which one I choose!
Have a good day everyone.

Morning all,
It’s still cold but glorious sunshine here. The weather, even for Scotland, is absolutely bonkers these last few months.
I’ve cleaned the windows at the front of the house just having a coffee then I’ll tackle the rest. I’ll definitely be chilling with my book this afternoon!
I’ve had the usual cereal, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast. Feeling quite smug as it’s used up the last of the fruit and yoghurt and if I have a ham and veggie omelette for lunch, that will finish the eggs, ham, mushrooms, red onion and bit of red pepper 😁. Dinner is easy chilli amd rice from the freezer.
I need to write a list of dinners for next week and sort a shopping list for the family supermarket trip tomorrow 🙈🤣
Have a good day everyone.

It's actually not raining here today! Damp air but 🫰🏻no rain as yet. We got out with our walking group but no umbrellas needed.🤣
I bet you're delighted it's half term this week @TakeItEazy . You certainly sound as if you need a break.🤗
Hopefully this 'new' job will be more reliable @Coxy11 , certainly sounds like they have plenty of work for you to do.
Pleased to hear you're sticking with the joint shopping trip @Jellybaby . Hope you don't get any more moaning about it.
I don't have a Lidl App @joedenise. Do you think it's worth having?🤔 I rarely shop there just occasionally for their dishwasher stuff and a few other favourites. We used to stock up on their large jars of cornichons but they seem to have been discontinued. I'm having their honey cornichons at the moment (smaller jar, much more expensive) which are lovely. I think they're still swip free if someone could check for me please.😊
Do you just not like meatballs @bubbs . I suppose it's because they usually go with pasta and I know you don't have that. They taste like burgers really and I know you like those, although I make mine with turkey mince, onion, couscous and spices so they're a bit different.
Very pleased with WI this morning. I lost 1lb (actually 1.3) which considering my lunch out on Tuesday I'm delighted with. I've now got 2.1lbs to go to get to the top of range.👍🏼 It won't happen very soon as we're out to lunch this coming week too. My cousin has invited us so we'll have to eat whatever she prepares.🫰🏻
We've not seen @Glad posting for a few days I do hope she's not fallen off the wagon? If you're lurking @Glad ,the trick is to jump back on PDQ.😁
Today's lunch was almost S/P as just one small potato and tons of veg.
Today's plan-
B- HEB toast, bacon, eggs (P), tomatoes (S), HEA milk for drinks
L- cold meat (P), LO veg and pickles (F,S)
D- savoury mince (P,S), new potatoes (F), cauli, broccoli, carrots (S)
Swips- 01 -
@maman - I probably use Lidl more now than I used to because I seem to go to Sittingbourne more often than I used to! There are a few things we like from there - I find their tomatoes better than any of the other SMs own brand; DH likes their knock off Magnum lollies (which is usually the reason we're going there because he's eaten them all! - only 6 in a pack) and I buy a box of their mini lollies but they last probably 4 times as long as a box of DH's ones! They often have decent offers on things like halloumi
This week's offers are 15% of Sweet and crunchy salad bag; baked cheeses with dips (not SW friendly but very nice!); cauliflower cheese or potato dauphinoise; sausage rolls; multivitamins and herb and garlic dip (although that runs out today so must have been last weeks offer.
DH always has the bakery item which is a Freebie once you spend £10 and I usually get a 7.5Kg bag of potatoes as my Free veg for a £50 spend. There's another freebie if you spend £100 - something like biscuits or cookies; at the £150 mark it's a something in the toiletries/household range and 10% off your whole shop if you spend £250 in any calendar month. It all starts again on 1st of month. I've never got to the £100 mark as most of our shopping is done in Tesco.
Well done on your lb loss. Good going when you've been eating out. It's WI for me tomorrow morning and I'm hoping to be at the l.5lb above target mark and hopefully lose some of that the following part week before holiday but who knows! We are now checked in so that's sorted out.

@maman here I am ✋
yesterday was a repeat of tuesday with sausage and mash for dinnertoday is an odd day, I had to take my oldest dog to the vet for 8.30 and didn't get seen until 9.15. Out of there at 10, then a couple of shops and got home around 11.30. So my overnight oats, fruit and yoghurt were more lunch than breakfast. As we're out at a family do tonight, I grabbed some more fruit an hour ago and saving myself for this evening.
we've pre ordered and I'm having grilled salmon, new potatoes and broccoli, not very exciting but I'm staying on that wagon :)I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Afternoon all 😁
We use lidl for most of our shopping, the offers of 15% off that change everyweek are usually what you buy anyway, sometimes there is way ward things on it!
I have not bought potatoes forever as i got them on lidl app 7,5 kg bag, dh also has the app so we use both to get free veg 🤣🤣 they also have a spin to win at the moment, only have to buy one thing and daily you could get free bakery item, no good for us 🤣 when they do the fruit one at Wimbledon i am always in there 🤣🤣
Maman in all honesty i have never had them, wasn't something we would have at home when we was there and like you say always served with pasta, another thing we never had at home.
Well done on your loss 👏👏

Good to see you back @Glad. Your pre-ordered meal is very much on plan and I don't think it's boring at all, although I think I'd use a few swips for some butter on the new potatoes!
