Yes, it can still be free, but only if you return the car to the original MOT test centre before the end of the next working day for a partial retest. If you bring it back within 10 working days after repairs elsewhere, they may charge a partial fee, rather than a full fee. Key details regarding retests:

    • Within 1 Working Day: Many, but not all, items (e.g., lights, wipers, horn) retested at the original site by the end of the next working day are free.
    • Within 10 Working Days: If repaired elsewhere, you can return within 10 working days for a partial, usually cheaper, retest.
    • Exceptions: If the car fails on "dangerous" defects or you wait more than 10 working days, you will have to pay for a full, new MOT.

It is recommended to call the original garage to confirm their specific retest policy.

Oh he bought the new microwave today, so no complaints here

Could I join in please, my weight has crept up over 2yrs from 10st 12lb, a nice size 12, to 12st 11lb! Cosy evenings sharing a bottle of wine and a large pouch of malteasers 3 nights a week, the main culprit.

My hobbies include trail running, hiking and skiing, but at age 60 with mild osteoarthritis, the extra weight was ‘hurting’ my joints, so I needed to do something.

I joined a SW group 3 weeks ago and it’s going well, 3 weigh ins and lost 4lb, 1.5lb and 2lb, so nice and steady. I don’t eat meat but plenty of fish, plus I love cooking so I’m enjoying new recipe ideas, OH is happy with the meals so that makes it easier.

    Anyway hi everyone 😊👋

Blimey. That’s quite a big rise @bubbs. I was thinking about going back after my mum goes home as well. Got a wedding in May.

Morning all, it's dry and bright this morning and having checked the local forecast it's supposed to stay dry all day so may well get a machine load of washing done and out on the line.

Welcome @Glad, you've made a brilliant start with your weight losses so far. A good day's food yesterday but have to say your lunch doesn't look very filling! I'd still be hungry if that's all I had to eat mid day.

I've had a message from @Longwalker, she's OK but a lot going on with her mother. I'm sure she'll be back posting again soon. She said she's had an expected gain this week but is now back to eating more on plan than off!

    Today's plan:

B - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - Calcium, Fibre, S
    L - mushroom omelette - P; S
    D - Spanish rice - P; S; F; 3.5

Calcium - cheese; milk in drinks
    Fibre - bread
    Swips - chorizo 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.

    Morning all,

    Welcome aboard @Glad 👋

@Longwalker hope things settle with your mum and look after yourself too x

I have a bright and sunny day here too!! Though when I ran to put the bin out it was absolutely baltic.

I got a text with the increased charge from our consultant late last night @bubbs As I’m 60, it will mean a 70p increase weekly. I’ll continue going for now as I need the accountability but I’m going to be working extra harder to get these last 20lbs off and reach target 😇😂

Out and about with several appointments scattered throughout the day - one is an eyebrow tint and wax which I never thought I’d be waiting desperately for but I’m so fair I look like I have none!

I’ve had a banana and coffee when I got up as wasn’t hungry, lunch is a baked potato with tuna and salad. I’ll count 3 for salad cream. Dinner is a leftover portion of lentil curry from the freezer. DS made this a few weeks back and it’s delicious. I’ll have it with rice and trying the new SW naan as my fibre choice.

    Have a good day everyone!
