Morning all,
Welcome back @joedenise not long until the next one 😁
It’s absolutely chucking it down here. Just had a text from the friend I was meeting for a walk and coffee, now meeting in the garden centre. She doesn’t walk in the rain 🤣. Lunch with another friend is at an Italian restaurant I’ve never been to so will be good where I can.
I’m having a banana and cup of tea to keep me going. Late to the party as usual, I’ve made pulled port for dinner. DS2 is looking forward to it but I’m thinking I’ll not want anything.
Have a good day all.

Half a pound on is great for a week away @joedenise . Well done!👍🏼
I'm glad you enjoyed your week on the IoW and hope today's breakfast omelettes were better than the ones in your accommodation!🤣
Hope all goes well for Joe tomorrow.🤞🏼
Great Farmfoods bargains @bubbs , I really miss our branch. I buy cooking bacon from Sainsbury's or Asda at £2 per kg. I just check regularly for lean looking packs, preferably smoked. After removing the fat, I chop it up into lardons and portion it up for the freezer. They're really useful, especially for pasta dishes .
Sorry to say it's been really warm here today @Jellybaby and no more than the odd drop of rain. We went for a walk this morning and a coffee afterwards, sitting outside. The next really nice day is meant to be Saturday @joedenise so hopefully all the laundry will get done then.
It's one of those cheat roast dinners tonight with beef and gravy from the freezer. The gravy only had a tbsp of cornflour in it originally so counting the LOs as free.
Today's plan-
B- Porridge, blueberries, banana (fibre, S,F), milk for drinks (P)
L- Spanish omelette and salad (P,S,F)
D- roast beef dinner (P,S,F)
Swips- horseradish?0 -
Planning on finishing the washing on Saturday @maman as it's the next dry day and forecast to be wet again on Sunday!
Change of plan for veg this evening as had forgotten I'd got some sugar snaps in the freezer so going to steam those instead of peas so at least it will be some Speed instead of Free!

Good luck for tomorrow @bubbs and @Jellybaby . Knowing you @bubbs , you'll get a loss despite the fish and chips!🤣
Another lovely day here after a slow, grey start. I've been out all morning otherwise I'd have done the laundry. I'll have it all at the ready to go out tomorrow @joedenise . We've been spoiled for months not having to look at the forecast, just wall to wall sunshine.
I've done my meal plan and list and just about to head to the shops. It looks like another straight week with no eating out planned so all should be well. I've not weighed for a while, just using my clothes to guide me. Everything fits although I still feel my stomach is a bit bloated. The GP surgery have removed the fancy weighing machine (probably leased and too expensive) so I'm weighing up (excuse the pun) whether to stick with how I feel or buy some scales and discipline myself not to check too often.🤔
Today's plan-
B- toast, scrambled eggs (fibre, P), milk for drinks (calcium)
L- egg, bubble &squeak, pickles (P,S,F)
D- sausage, chips, beans (F), roast onions, mushrooms (S)
Swips- BGTY sausages 2, weekend wine😁0 -
Afternoon all 😁
Don't want a loss Maman, otherwise will be out of target! Doubt i will have a loss anyway. Oh that's a bugga about the scales 😪
Lovely here but wind is cold, i have got 2 loads washing dry 😁
Denise, i meant to ask how your hand was now, all healed?
I had a ham salad roll for a change at lunchtime and having KFC for tea, not had it for a few weeks .

Sorry missed your loss @joedenise fab 🎉and hope DH’s surgery has gone well.
@maman I would never be off scales if I had them in the house 🤣
I did the shopping with parents this morning - DS is off gallivanting, how dare he! - and also got handed a few renewals to do for them next week. It’s like running two houses!
Anyway, breakfast was banana and coffee, lunch was a ham salad roll with another coffee at mums and dinner is pulled pork on a baked potato with salad. I don’t think I’m as bloated but scales may say different tomorrow 🤣1 -
Good evening all! Been at the hospital all day - left home at 6am and got home at 5.30pm. As you can all imagine parking was very expensive, not helped by the fact that the prices all went up on 1 September so dearer than would have been a couple of months ago! Cost £11.50!!! I hate having to pay for parking when it's for something like having an operation, of course it was the start of rush hour by the time we came out and took almost an hour to get home - takes about 40 minutes during the day.
Today has been a very long boring one and certainly not on plan! Had hoped it would be but one sandwich and nothing else just wasn't enough and the nurses kept bringing round biscuits so I ended up eating 2 packets so probably at least a day's worth of Swips!
DH's op has gone well and the Dr is pleased with it having checked pressures in the eye and they are OK so no need to take the tablets which were prescribed (the nurse removed them from the bag so they wouldn't get taken accidentally - come on he's a grown man!). Three lots of eye drops - 2 lots are 4 times a day and one lot is 3 times a day. One lot needs to be taken for a week, one lot for a month and one lot will be ongoing. Definitely need to keep the instructions on the boxes so as not to get muddled! His follow up appointment is Tuesday morning but fortunately at just after 10 and not 7am!
Good luck @bubbs & @Jellybaby with WI tomorrow.
Today's food:
B - weetabix and milk - Fibre, part Calcium

D - sticky glazed chicken, rice, pak choi - P; S; F, 1Calcium - milk
Fibre - Weetabix, bread
