    Morning all,

    Hope DH's specs turn up @bubbs 🤞

Seems to be a decent day out there. I'm picking DDad up at 10am and taking him for breakfast at the village cafe. I have already eaten so will just get a coffee, so nice not to have the dull throbbing toothache! We have some workmen at the house from 2pm so can't really do much today. DDad is still not 100% well and I've succumbed to his lurgy too, so we are the house of ill.

    Food today:

    B - Weetab!x Crunchy Bran*, Mullerl!ght vanilla, banana - Fibre, 0.5, free

    L - spinach omelette, salad - P, S

    D - grilled pork chops, golden vegetable rice, green beans - P, 0.5, S

    Calcium - milk

SWIPs - 1 plus hi fi bar so 4 total

*new to me cereal and less oppressive than Al! Bran sticks!

    Morning all,

Hope DH’s specs turn up @bubbs and ouch to the car! I think I’ve got the start of the lurgy too @Coxy11 🤞it doesn’t come to much.

It’s blooming cold today ☹️ I dread to think what our energy bills are going to be like in the coming months. Off to salsa shortly which will warm me up.

    Food today:
Breakfast - fruit and yoghurt, coffee with collagen 2.5
Lunch - broccoli and cauliflower soup
Dinner - steak, SW chips, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, sweetcorn

HE’s and swips left if I want anything else.

Glad to hear your mouth feels better now it's 'thawed out' @Coxy11 .Good that your dad's well enough to be up and about even if none of you are 100%.🤒

It's quite pleasant here today too mild, bright and dry. I'm not doing anything special but it feels good.😁

I'll be interested to hear where your DH's glasses do eventually turn up @bubbs . Hope he has a spare pair.

We had curry from the freezer last night before I went dancing and realised that HM ready meals are low again. I only have meatballs and tomato sauce left so need to do some batch cooking PDQ.

    Today's plan-
B- toast, eggs, bacon, tomatoes (fibre, P,S), milk for drinks (calcium #1)
L- JP with prawns and salad (F,P,S)
D- spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce (P,S,F), Parmesan (calcium#2)
    Swips- LTL mayo 1

DH has just poked himself in his eye, i said that's because you have no glasses on 🤣 Maman no he only has sunglasses, but it's weird where they have gone. Usually he puts them on the seat in the car but didn't yesterday.

Farmfoods have some bargains, tinned carrots 19p, 2 biggish tins green beans £1.20 and bacon 39p! cut the fat off and even if you throw the tails away it's a bargain!

    Lunch, free,

Tea "fry up" 2.5 sv for sausages

Afternoon all, we're back! Had a lovely week on the Isle of Wight. Weather was mainly good but did have rain a couple of days including yesterday when we'd planned on going to a craft market which of course was cancelled!

That's bad about your scan being cancelled @bubbs, hope you get a new appointment very soon. Do hope your DH manages to find his glasses. I'd be completely lost without mine - certainly wouldn't be able to be on the laptop without them! I'm OK distance without them although better with them.

Glad your new dentist was gentle @Coxy11 and your mouth is feeling better now. Looks like the antibiotics have kicked in for your DDad. Sorry that you seem to have got the lurgy now, hope you get over that quickly.

@Matron_Midge - glad you had a good holiday and managed not to put on loads of weight like most of us do!

Have done a couple of machine loads of washing and got it all out on the line after checking that there's no rain forecast, it's very blowy so shouldn't take too long to dry but will leave out overnight if necessary!

Will be glad to get a bit more variety into our meals - our cooking facilities were far from ideal! The cooker was awful - I'm used to electric but this one was terrible. I tried to make omelettes the first morning and the eggs took so long to cook and certainly didn't look like the omelettes I make at home but at least they were edible so most mornings we ended up with toast or weetabix.

Tried to be sensible when we ate out (lunch every day!) and evenings were on plan. Hoping I haven't put too much on but haven't checked! Will check in the morning and then make sure I stay on plan for the next few weeks before we go away again!

Off to check the freezers to see what I need to add to my shopping list for tomorrow.

Morning all, it doesn't look very nice this morning, very grey and a bit of breeze. Hopefully my washing will dry. Not going to do any more as it's forecast to rain tomorrow so will leave it until the weekend. Won't have time tomorrow morning anyway as DH is having his eye op and we have to be at the hospital by 7.15am! Will need to leave about 6 - so a really early morning tomorrow! Means I'm going to have to do all the driving for the next week or 2, which as you all probably know by now I hate!

I weighed this morning and pleased that I've only put on just over half pound.

Have got to get quite a bit of shopping today as the fridge is almost empty! Used the last of the eggs which we brought home with us to make omelettes for breakfast.

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese omelette - Calcium, P
    L - pulled pork roll, salad - Fibre, P; S
    D - sea bass, boiled potatoes, minted peas - P, F, 1.5

    Fibre - WM roll
    Calcium - cheese, milk
    Swips - LF spread 1.5

Not much Speed in today's meals so will top it up with some fruit and yoghurt for dessert tonight.

    Have a good day everyone.
