Sounds like a fab holiday to come @joedenise x

Not long now until you're back home @bubbs. Good idea eating from stores where you can x

I now have a craving for meatballs @Jellybaby and @maman!!

Don't faint but I've been at work today. Was meant to just do the morning but had so much work I stayed until 3.30pm. Two mortgage applications done and dusted and clients pleased. I didn't take anything except 20 almonds and some water with me as expected to be home! Inhaled a small piece of carrot cake when I got in as felt a bit wobbly. Also WFH tomorrow morning for 3 hours. Need to go to Mum's after as the fire brigade are doing a safety check - she currently has no smoke alarms……

Dinner tonight is Aldi's Valentine main meal of 'Nduja Style Chicken Breast fillets which I'll serve with broad beans, leeks (both from the allotment) and caverlo nero. I have no idea of syns so would someone please check for me? - photo to follow - TIA

Are you working notice @Coxy11 as thought you'd decided to go your separate ways recently as it wasn't working out?

No gravy for me @maman. Meals can be a bit dry but I just don't like gravy. The only "gravy" I have is when I cook something in Oxo so no Swips! I do have sauces when I cook things like curries and taglines but they're mainly tomato.

Your time away away from home seems to have gone quite quickly this year; certainly seems to have gone quicker than it seems to have done in previous years!

Am I the only one who doesn't do meatballs in tomato sauce? The only sort of meatballs I eat are when I make faggots which are made with pork mince and lambs liver which are cooked in onion gravy. My gravy is mainly the onions which are in it plus the whizzed up onions in beef stockpot gravy.

Not working notice @joedenise. The set up is a partnership of two women, plus the lady I worked for who is affiliated. I have parted ways with her and have been offered two mornings a week with the partnership but it turned into all day today, plus tomorrow morning. I'm not complaining as could do with the money.

Hello all, thanks Beanie for the new thread (took all day to catch up 😂).

Well where to start? I was doing so well & target was within touching distance but then the last week of term & two staff leavers and it’s all gone to pot. Not normally a staffroom eater (cakes & treats don’t usually bother me) but when people are bringing gluten free & making a point of offering them to you it would be rude to say no thank you 🥴. Too many GF brownies consumed and finished off a bag of onion rings too 😳. Back on the wagon this week. Made a stew on Sunday with a joint of pork chopped up as cheaper prepared chunks. Been topping it up every day with extra veg (now just a veg stew) so that’s my main meal this week.

Got a BIG birthday coming up in March! Definitely feeling my age, work is exhausting then home to help hubby dialyse is just wiping me out. I’m in charge of First Aid and when I was asked it was agreed I would get PPA (time to do paperwork) but then I was moved to 1-1 & am struggling to get the time to do the job. Doesn’t help 1-1 is a Klingon 🥴 so can’t move without them following. I usually have a working lunch whilst preparing the medical tracker data to take to classes before back to 1-1. ‘Lunch’ is not a meal for me, normally have a bag of hula hoops & on occasion a skinny bar. My choice as not usually hungry. It’s half term & I keep looking at my laptop & thinking I should be sorting those medical emails. But am also too knackered 🥺.

Hubby medical correspondence have always stated stage 5 CKD but this week it reads end stage so basically terminal 🥺. He sleeps so much of the time, his bloods are always low, he has iron infusions & blood transfusions but nothing makes him feel anywhere near well. I know him well enough to know he hates what he’s going through & how it affects us. He feels a burden especially when I’m helping him & I am so exhausted. That’s when he talks of stopping treatment! As if that would make me feel anywhere near better🙄.

    Anyway sorry for the essay!

Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

That sounds so tough on so many levels @TakeItEasy. Try to look after yourself in all of it if you can. 🤗
