    Hi you all

Im so sorry but Ive not read the 10 pages posted since I was last here posting - my apologies and I will get there and I love you and support you all xxx

Mum is terminal and on pallitive care. The hospital have initiated a home care plan, but tbh she's been on a driver a week already so we dont know where we ( me and he ) are right now

She's riddled with cancer and has taken a heart attack whilst in hospital

Its tough but it is what it is and we are dealing with it all at the moment

Those first two weeks , obviously weren't planned for meal wise and I was seriously just filling my tummy with what I could when I could. Last week the manic period slowed, We ( me and him ) got a hospital visitation sorted , I had a bit more time to plan ahead and have food that I wanted at weird hours - instead of bread and peanut butter . So back below top of target

Our lives are very much changed , which seeing as we are "old "is difficult enough - we have routines and plans and of course they are by the bye

Im going to sound bloody awful but having mum in hosptial has been good for us. She's so happy there - seriously - and we arent tip toeing around so are much more easier on each other - although we can still nark each other

I thank you all for checking in with me, it really does mean a lot, Im just sorry I dont have the mental capacity to go back read the posts and help.

I will be back, and whilst Im not here , Im still working on me . Im not going to open one of those vac packs of bigger sized clothes. . Getting fatter isnt going to change mums outcome , only make me feel worse then I do

Morning all and well done to the losers xx

@Longwalker I’m sorry about your Mum but it’s good that the hospital are doing their best for her and she is settled. It’ll take a while to adjust so be kind to yourself xx

No way am I losing anything this week as we had a chippy tea last night. Ended up going to Denise’s island twice (long story) and got back late.

We have 3 or 4 cake sheds here. They seem to do well - I too don’t understand the hype?!

Will reply with food later as I’m shopping today.

morning all ,I’m creeping back in .

Since I stopped going to my old group ( old consultant left ,did not gel with new one and the system changed ) I’ve put on so much it’s terrible

I need to go back but none of the times suit me .

Think there’s one group that may work if I just weighed at another one week so thinking of try it the week afterwards next !

Bubbs ,forgive me ,I’ve been looking at your meals as you eat so well ,but always stay around the same .

Do you get hungry ? I do so much and tend to eat toast ?

You seem to have lots of protein .lots of veg ,but v little carbs ,does this fill you up more ..

When I get really hungry I end up feeling sick and light headed so stuff carb quickly .

Your advice would be really appreciated

Morning all, a bit miserable this morning with very fine rain in the air. Have spent quite a bit of time defrosting my freezer, what a pain that is. DH ended up having to take off the kickboards in the kitchen as some of the water had run under the cupboard so he wasn't a happy bunny! Still it's done now and also sorted out properly so I know what is in it and where. Have rejigged the menu plan for this coming week or so until we go away to use up some of the HM ready meals and free up a bit of space as it's very tightly packed.

The freezer on the fridge/freezer is a frost free one but still do with a good sort out but don't think I'm going to do that properly until after our holiday.

Welcome back @Suffolksue; I had the same problem as didn't really like the other local group so ended up going further (about 30 mile round trip) to another group which was OK but didn't feel as good as my original group and after about 18 months decided to go it alone. I seem to be staying steady around 2lb above my target range but still trying to get back into range but it's very difficult as DH keeps wanting to book AI holidays so the weight goes on again and then I'm back on plan for a few weeks and off we go again.

Must as I like the look of @bubbs meals I would struggle to eat without the carbs, a bit like you @suffulksue. @bubbs doesn't eat carbs due to spiking her sugars so she finds it better to just avoid them.

I think the best thing you can do is to menu plan and ensure you are getting at least your third Speed foods across the board - it's often difficult to get Speed into breakfasts in particular but pickles can definitely be useful to up your Speed at lunch and/or dinner!

Maybe you could start posting your menu plans again to help keep you on track. It certainly helps me.

Think I'm going to do another post as this one is getting a bit long!

Right, let me do the rest of my post!!!

How come you ended up on the Island twice @Coxy11 - I wouldn't have thought there was enough here for you to need to come over twice in one day.

@Longwalker - glad the hospital is sorting out a care package for your mum. It's going to be hard but you need to look after you too. You've done well to still be in range with all you have going on and having to grab what you can when you can. Hospitals are the worst place for getting healthy foods.

    Today's plan:

    B - fry up with sausages - P; S; F; 2
    L - bacon & mushroom sandwich - Fibre; P; S; 1.5
    D - roast lamb dinner - P; S; F

    Calcium - milk
    Fibre - bread
Swips - sausages 2; LF spread 1.5; piece of coconut and macaroon cake 8.5 (got it in a TGTG bag yesterday - had one yesterday and one today; DH had the other 2). Very nice but not worth 8.5 Swips!

    Have a good day everyone.

I'm back - went to yoga, came home for breakfast and a shower, then went to T's for the weekly food shop. There are some dodgy folk in T's - thinking it's funny to shout in people's faces, randomly. Just awful.

    Food today:

    B - spinach omelette - P, S

D - roast chicken, roast potatoes, cauli cheese, broccoli - P, free, HEA, S

    HEA - milk

    HEB - 20 almonds

Syns - 1.5 for some rice crackers, will also have a skinny bar with my coffee - 5 total

@joedenise I was collecting an item from FB and lady said Saturday would be good. I messaged Friday night and again yesterday morning. We went to an indoor boot fair at Bobbing then for a coffee at Iwade, then made our way over but she messaged saying "after 6pm please". So as DH has never been to Sheerness(!) we had a wander down the High Street and along the sea wall. Came home, watched the rugby and went back again!

Welcome back @Suffolksue - I agree that posting your meal plans will be a good idea as others can identify any tweaks. Good luck xxx

    Afternoon all 😁😁

Beautiful day here today 14 degrees as well!

LW, so sorry you are going through this, i am glad Mum is comfortable , look after yourself too, i know how difficult it is with Dad being in hospital 8 mths before he passed 😢

Welcome back SSue, no i don't get hungry as i eat massive meals, why have toast if you are hungry? you need protein if you are hungry, that fills you up. I eat alot of protein, i may not have carbs, but instead i have BNS chips or cauli rice , or mashed swede instead of potatoes. I always have a pudding too.

I can eat carbs but chose not too, i have never been a potato/rice/pasta person anyway before SW. Sometimes i have potato chips.

Coxy why would someone shout in people's faces? Like you say strange people!

    Food today

Picky plate 2 sv for ryvita cracker bread

    Tea

Roast pork, roast parsnips, boiled carrots, brussels, green beans, cauliflower cheese 3 sv, yorkie part fibre choice

Making another lemon meringue pie as other one was so lovely 😋 part fibre choice , 3 sv
