Glad you had a good time Beanie,

I went for a short walk with ds and dh yesterday. It was along a part of the river I haven’t ventured to before. We walked approximately a mile found a fantastic open air cafe in the woods and I had a piece of cake and coffee. We walked back to the car which is the most I’ve walked for ages….No idea how many syns but it was worth every one.

Breakfast- bacon, 1 sausage 3 syns, air fried mushrooms and tomato, baked beans and heb toast.

Before we went out I’d put a joint of pork….4 cans of black eyed beans, 4 cans of tomatoes, fresh tomatoes, peppers, a little bit of chilli, onions, garlic herbs and lemon juice in the oven. It was too big for the SC. It was ready when we arrived home and delicious with the pork shredded into the veg and served with rice. Jamie’s pork in black beans ( with a couple of tweaks) So other than the cake not a bad day. I froze the rest of the pork in portions, Ds took some and there were 15 portions altogether 😄

This morning I could eat the hind legs of a donkey so I’ve had

Breakfast - small avocado, 2 poached eggs and heb bread. I feel suitably full now.
Dinner - cold meat and tomato on the go as I’m heading into town and seeing the Michael Jackson film again ( free with my cinema pass)

Tea will be left over pork and rice.

I shouldn’t be nibbling now I’ve had a filling breakfast. So I should be within my swips or syns for the day.

Thanks for the heads up on the Jamie pork recipe @milann.. I'll take a look.👍🏼

Hope the gammon joint went down well @Jellybaby . I really must try the campfire stew with the joint I've got in the freezer.

Sorry to hear about your dad @Coxy11. 🤞🏼he's quickly on the mend and responds to treatment as quicky as your sister @bubbs .

Seeing those delicious boiled eggs yesterday @bubbs reminded me I haven't had any for ages. It'll be a regular breakfast on holiday as it's so easy to prepare and clear up. 😋

Yes, the Rameses exhibition was at BPS @Coxy11 . We went for the VR experience too which was great fun!😁

Glad you enjoyed the wedding and have drawn the line since @beanielou . Good luck if you're going to WI tonight. 🤞🏼

I was quite disciplined with afternoon tea yesterday. I had some delicious sandwiches that were definitely wholemeal so some of the swips could be offset by a fibre choice. I passed on the cakes and scones and ate slices of melon instead as they seemed a healthier option anyway and I find it (relatively) easy to resist cake.

We had kippers for breakfast this morning for the first time in ages.😋 There was a 10p size slice of butter in the pack so some syns in that?

    Today's plan-
B- toast (fibre), milk (calcium), kippers (P)
L- LO chicken casserole and veg (P,S,F)
    D- salmon (P), SW chips (F), veg tbc (S)
    Swips- butter?

    Good afternoon

a banana and tangerine first thing as I went for an early run

@bubbs that cauli cheese looks lovely, how do you make it SW friendly? @milann you made me remember I had an avocado in the fridge and although some of it had gone black, I managed to save enough for guac and eggs on a thin bagel.

French lesson this afternoon and then early dinner in spoons, always something I can have that's SW friendly, I fancy the BP with cheese and beans today

    Hi all,

Went to work today and took my usual apple and WM cheese roll. Boss went food shopping and asked for help putting it away, then gave both me and other colleague a lemon curd sticky bun. I tried very hard to say No but she insisted. Was very sticky and not conducive to either SW or typing/using a mouse.

We are having salmon en croute tonight which would have been my entire SWIPs for the day anyway. Serving it with AF potatoes and broccoli. DH due back at midnight and only me and the adult kids here, so seemed a good idea at the time!

Dad on oxygen although sounded okay when we spoke yesterday. Reckon he'll be in for a few days yet.

Glad you enjoyed the wedding @beanielou x

think I forgot to say there was chorizo in Jamie’s pork and black beans but spread between all the portions it must have only been a couple of syns.

The eggs and avocado did the trick and filled me up until 5pm. I just had a cup of tea in the cinema. I would have gone straight home for tea but was going to aqua so I bought a Mr T meal deal of sushi, apple and strawberry pot and Diet Coke. I had leftover pork when I arrived home and a tiny portion of rice as I cba cooking extra….followed by a banana and strawberry.

Coxy glad your Dad seems ok, fingers crossed he is soon home.

Just a reminder if you car insurance is due, go through all the questions with a fine toothcomb, mine came through and had gone up again! Nearly £600 for the year, considering i have had no claims, nearly 60 it should be going down, changed the milage as worked mine out from MOT's and it was too high, i really though i did more miles, worked out over the last few years and alot less than i thought, i have cut it down on my quote and it has saved me £250!!
