awful bubbs, it gives us in the NHS a bad name, honestly we’re not all like that, but some really need a rocket somewhere!
managed another run this morning, usual route and slowly feeling better and not like running through treacle.
OH asked for leek and potato soup tonight, for some reason I added garlic and it changed the whole taste, and not for the better!

Glad, no i know not all are like it, but honestly what i have seen in the last 4 yrs makes me question it, with Dad and DH, i mean DH had to wait 6 weeks for results from his bloods last time, half hr on the phone to the hospital saying, can't give you them, ring doctors, him saying doctors have had nothing to do with my cancer, too me ringing the doctors them saying ring the hospital, i said no they told us to ring you, give us a couple of days to down load them, me replying well you have a slow computer 🤣 20 mins later they were on the app!
Now she is putting me back on Naproxen which the physio took me off as said i shouldn't be taken them, do you have a wall i can bang my head on 🤣
Well you won't do that with the soup again , we learn from our mistakes

bubbs. You could not make it up. Why did the physio take you off Narproxen? Imagine working from 6-8.30 on a Friday.

Morning all, it's really grey and breezy this morning but at least all my washing is done apart from what we took off last night so shouldn't be too much to add to the week's washing when we get back!
This week seems to have gone really quickly and can't believe we only have today and tomorrow at home and then off at about 2am on Monday.
Is there another surgery you could change to in your area @bubbs? It's what we ended up having to do a few years ago as we could never get an appointment at the GPs and we had been with them for 20 years and things went from bad to worse after Covid. Our current GP surgery is far better. If an appointment isn't urgent then we can do an online form and get a phone call back the following day from a doctor. It works really well.
Seems strange that your physio took you off Naproxen - wouldn't have thought that was their call - I'd have thought they should have told you to discuss with your GP. Sounds as though your GP is happy for you to be on it even if the physio wasn't!
I wouldn't have wanted to work 6-8.30pm on a Friday either @beanielou!
Today's plan:
B - fry up - P; S; F
L - toasted cheese sandwich, pickles - Fibre, calcium, S
D - pork fillet tray bake - P; S; F; 3Calcium - milk, cheese
Fibre - bread
Swips - apple sauce 3Have a good day everyone.

Hope you get your medication sorted out @bubbs can I just add that having a doctor in the family doesn’t make things any easier!!
STS at WI. I’ll keep plodding (as usual) 🤣.
I’m meeting a friend for coffee and wander round the shops later. She likes to have cake with her coffee, knows I’m not keen and will happily have what she wants and leave me to my Americano.DS2 is away this weekend so I’m having lasagne from the freezer with salad for dinner. I may also have some wine 😀. I managed to pick up some reduced topside in Morries yesterday so must remember to get it in the slow cooker when I get back as that’s tomorrow’s dinner.

Shame about the soup @Glad, especially as your DH was looking forward to it.☹️
Hope you're happy with the scales today @bubbs and @Jellybaby .🫰🏻
I'm assuming that the GP working Friday evenings was to try to address the problems with your surgery @bubbs . I'm with @Glad in that surgeries like yours give the NHS a bad name which is so unfair on the good ones. Our surgery has actually improved since Covid in that they've kept the phone and econsult options for those that prefer them and reinstated face to face. If you're not fussy who you see, we can get a same day appointment and there's certainly no discrimination on who gets appointments, there's always a mixed bunch in the waiting room when I call in to use the scales.
On a SW theme, there are frequently some hugely overweight people in there. There's even an enormous chair that looks like something out of The Borrowers or Alice in Wonderland. Obviously I don't know why these people are there but I'm confident that the surgery installed the super scales to encourage people to watch their weight. I always smile because the scales call out the instructions and one day I'm afraid they'll call out my weight.🤣
Light rain was forecast for us today @joedenise but that's changed now to bright but windy.🤔 Football this afternoon so we'll be having the customary Crunchie.
Shopping yesterday was very expensive, £70+ in Aldi with absolutely no meat. Thank goodness I've got plenty of meat and fish in the freezer. I did buy some extra for the foodbank as I missed last week plus a bottle of Prosecco (low swip😉) for me and chocolate for DH but it's still a lot for mainly basic stuff.
Today's plan-
B- Porridge (fibre choice), milk (calcium choice), raspberries (S), banana (F)
L- JP with curry and salad (P,S,F)
D- chicken jambalaya (P,S,F)
Swips- half Crunchie 3, weekend wine☺️0
