Morning all, another gorgeous day. It's so nice to see the sun and be able to have the doors and windows open to let the fresh air in. No washing again - leaving it all until tomorrow (bedding) and Friday (rest of washing). Also no more shopping needed as I have rejigged the menu plan to use up what is in the fridge apart from a lemon which will be sliced and frozen ready for our G&Ts!

A very small shop for you @bubbs at the Company Shop. Probably just as well there weren't any chicken thighs if your freezer is that rammed! Having said that I couldn't get chicken thighs in Tesco last week so ended up buying mini fillets instead. Didn't want to buy breasts just to cut up and didn't have any plans for whole breast!

    Today's plan:

    B - almond baked oats, fruit, Greek yoghurt - Fibre; P; S; 2
    L - wrap with HM hummus, ham, salad - Fibre; P; S; 3
    D - creme cajun chicken pasta - Calcium; P; S; F

    Calcium - cheese
    Fibre - oats; wrap
Swips - ground almonds 2; olive oil 3; milk for drinks 4

More Swips than I originally planned but necessary in order to use up fridge contents before we go away!

    Have a good day everyone.

It's another glorious day here too @joedenise . Bedding is almost dry and a dark wash just gone out. That's the basket clear for another few days!👍🏻

Your menu looks quite normal considering you're using stuff up to empty the fridge. It's amazing some of the concoctions that we have when using up stuff. 🤣

I managed to just have a couple of swips yesterday (2 small water biscuits and a square of DH's chocolate) so my best day for probably about a fortnight! It was very tempting to celebrate our great win last night (1-5) but I stood firm!😇

Today will be much easier, we're out tonight at a meeting so no temptation.

    Today's plan-
B- HE fibre toast, HE calcium milk, scrambled eggs (P)
L- veggie stir fry with noodles (S,F)
D- sausage casserole with penne (P,S,F)
    Swips- Aldi sausages 1.5

    Afternoon all 😁

So warm today, must be because i don't even have a cardi on 🤣🤣

Like most, washing is out, been unit and now just going through listings , it's never ending, but shouldn't complain as we are very busy! Sun's out so got all the summer stuff out today, see if i can tempt them 🤣

Denise is it, wasn't leaving meat at the prices we had over Easter! I'd rather freezers full of meat than anything else!

    Lunch

Fibre choice, and 1/4 of calcium , mixed with the egg, yesterday really fancied egg and tomato roll/sandwich so had today as rolls were in the freezer

Morning all, it's fairly bright but virtually no wind. Bedding is in the machine and will go out on the line shortly. Hopefully it'll dry but will finish off in the dryer if necessary.

Why someone would say your food is "normal food" I've no idea - after all nothing is banned on SW which is why we can all enjoy what we like to eat. I like experimenting a bit and trying new recipes, also like a bit of spice which is why we have so many curries! Most things don't take long to cook but the chopping and other prep is what takes the time but being retired I have that time now. When I was working all our meals were quick ones and I just experimented with new meals at the weekend when I had more time. Have to admit not many of the new to me recipes actually end up getting repeated and most are tried and tested old favourites!

    Today's plan:

    B - scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans - P; S; F
L - LO cajun chicken pasta (will cook some more pasta to add to it plus some more quark, which will finish off the tub and a bit of stock and a bit more spice as it was a bit bland for us)
    D - kedgeree - P; S; F

    Calcium - milk
Fibre - none planned but may have a bit of toast later with a scrape of LF spread and marmite
Swips - LF spread 1.5 (if I have the toast)

    Have a good day everyone.

PS. Our butcher put on Facebook a good offer - 5Kg of chicken breasts for £20 so dashed off to get a box before they sold out! Got 18 huge chicken breasts, cut off the mini fillets (which were huge compared with the tiny ones available in the SM) and got about Kg of them which I've bagged up in 250g bags which will do for curries or fajitas depending on whether slice them or chop them!

Hi all, not had a chance to post as it’s been juggling one issue after another.

That’s a great offer on the chicken @joedenise . I snapped up some Easter veg and spent a morning chopping and bagging but wasn’t so lucky on meat offers.

The weather is awful here! Torrential rain as I type this and it was sleet when I came out of salsa class yesterday 😳 Two weeks I’ll be in Lanzarote and hopefully enjoying some heat.

Food has been on plan and we’re having the last of the chicken curry from the freezer for dinner.

We'll probably go back to Lanzarote next year but not booking anything early after the hassles this year with various hospital and physio appointments, along with the usual dental/waxing/hair appointments! We've seen a hotel on UTube we like the look of in Playa Blanca. We usually go to Costa Teguise.

Weather been sunny so decided to get another load of washing on to make use of the free solar and will be able to hang it out first thing tomorrow and then do the last load before our holiday. There shouldn't be too much left in the wash bin when we leave on Monday morning at silly o'clock in the morning (about 2am!).
