    Afternoon all 😁

Not as nice today, and now blowing a hooly and gone dark so looks like it is going to tip it! Even my washing was not dry and it was out at 9 ish and got in about half hr ago.

Denise my food is simple and quick food unless it's a casserole or something and then that's just chucked in the oven!

Well done on your chicken Denise.

    Food today,

4 crackerbread, half fibre, 1/2 calcium cheese spread, ham and beetroot, tomato and watermelon

Tea, i am having steak sizzlers and chips and salad

Same here @bubbs, we had a glorious morning but now its gone dark and blowy. Fortunately, we got out for a walk this morning and coffee in the sunshine so made the most of the best part of the day.

I can see what the SW person means by 'normal' food in that you have decent plates of food that aren't what many people would think of when they're on a 'diet'. I'd never call your food ordinary though, you have a huge variety of delicious tempting recipes.😋 It's not as if you just have meat and two veg every day.🤔

That chicken was a bargain @joedenise especially as it came from your quality butcher. Chicken breast pieces are very convenient for curries and casseroles but I only buy them YS as otherwise they can be as expensive as breasts which are more versatile. I've made my curry today from thighs so hope it's OK.🫰🏻

Well done for staying on plan @Jellybaby . Hope you get the deserved result on Saturday. 🫰🏻

I haven't weighed but I'm conscious that my stomach and thighs are bigger than I like them to be.🤣 Not surprising after my birthday meals and a holiday but back on plan now so hoping to shed a bit over the next few weeks. Its only two months before our sunshine holiday and I have to get my bikini body in shape! 😉😁

    Today's plan-
B- HE fibre porridge, HE calcium milk, blueberries (S), banana (F)
    L- 2 eggs (P), bubble & squeak (F,S), pickles (S)
D- chicken curry with rice (P,F,S)
Swips- 0 (unless I have any mango chutney)

I usually use thighs for curry @maman. I think thighs stay much more moist than breast when making a curry as I like to cook it for quite a long time so the flavour really gets into the meat. I'm sure your curry will be good.

Looks like we've been lucky with the weather compared to others. It's certainly clouded over now but certainly not gone dark.

Thanks @joedenise , the curry worked out well with the thighs. Like you, I simmered it for a while so it marinated well. There's another meal in the freezer and a small portion for me to have on a JP..👍

I had Greek yogurt with mine so no swips used for mango chutney but I have had a couple of the small water biscuits.

Morning all, it was really cloudy this morning but I hung 2 loads of washing out anyway. It seems to be trying to brighten up. Unfortunately there's no breeze so it's just hanging there but hopefully it will still dry. Will finish off in the TD if necessary so that it can all be folded and put away.

Glad the curry worked out OK @maman and you obviously made plenty to have some in the freezer for another meal (presumably for both of you?) plus a portion for you for a lunch today/some day.

I weighed this morning and was expecting a gain and was pleasantly surprised to find I had had a very small loss of 0.2lb!

    Today's plan:

    B - cheese omelette - Calcium; P
    L - jacket potato, tuna mayo - P; F; 0.5
    D - duck breast, roast potatoes, green veg - P; S; F

    Calcium - milk, cheese
    Fibre - none planned
    Swips - LTL mayo 0.5; couple G&Ts - 6

    Have a good day everyone.

That's great to see the weight going in the right direction @joedenise .👍

I know you'll gain next week but hopefully there'll be plenty of salads and veg so you can make some SW friendly choices. 🤞Hope you enjoy Turkey. We love it there.

It's been dry but dull here all day and much colder than previously. It was 12 degrees today compared with 20+ the other evening at 7pm.

Did my meal plan and shop today and I should have a clear week until we eat out next Friday. I'm feeling a bit thinner today so probably seen off some of the holiday gain.

    Today's plan -

B HE fibre toast, HE calcium milk, eggs (P), mushrooms (S)

    L- ham (P), hash from fridge LOs (F, S)

D salmon (P), SW chips (F), stir fry veg (S)

    Swips - weekend wine 😊

That's dreadful @bubbs but sadly not surprised by what you've said about your surgery. ☹️

At least you've got the gorgeous lemon meringue to look forward to! 😋
