*Saunters in head hung low*
My god, I've had the worst 'lunch' week ever! I've managed to justify buying a school dinner 3 days this week! But today, I've got my backside in gear and brought a packed lunch, I shall shamefully update my sig laterDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
I spent 28p this morning on an orange... but that's it this week.
I'll tell you what keeps me going at lunch - the effort of peeling and eating oranges, and a free game or two of Mahjong online (let me know if you'd like the link!) - helps keep the braincells alive0 -
Mon 21st - No spend lunch today for me. I had half a smoked sausage n Ainsley's cous cous, plus a yoghurt from home. 0p
Tues 22nd - cheese n onion toastie, a yoghurt, satsuma and grapes. 0p
Wed 23rd - cheese n onion toastie, yog, satsuma and grapes.... 0p
Thu 24th - I have a ham sandwich today which i will probably toastie as it's cold today and some fruit. Am admitting to popping to garage shortly for a yoghurt, but i only have about 80p so it won't be any more than that. First spend of the week and it was only cause no yogs at home.... 80p - Max!
(edit - 92p spent on yog and bag of crisps!!!)
can i be forgiven!!?
Plus i am not drinking any pop in the morning, managing to drink at least a litre of water a day at workthis week, to help clear my skin a bit. 1 bottle in am, 1 in pm. plus maybe a cuppa tea, or two! God i need to pee loads!! - TMI? lol!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I have a dreadful cold and I slept in yesterday and today.
Yesterday saw me spend £3 on a baked potato and chilli (which I couldn't taste) and today I've bought a baguette and egg mayo tub from M&S so £1.50 there........................when WILL the madness end?:eek:Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -
When it comes down to a choice when you either eat or pay your gas bill, but not both?
Nah... it's a willpower thing innit? That and habits.
Honest - once you start making up your own lunches - and there are thousands of recipes hints and tips in those links you'll save a fortune and be eating healthier and tastier lunches.
Edit:- You don't have to specially make stuff for lunch either. If you make extra of any given soup, stew, casserole, chilli, curry... you can set aside the extra in lunch sized portions in the freezer. You can either take them in (defrosted) to heat in a microwave if your work has one, or heat it at home and take it in to work in a wide mouthed flask.
There are loads of similar tips in the links above - there have to be one or two that you can do and will likeHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there.
