I have been very good again today. I took a cheese, ham and salad sandwich with a packet of hula hoops (wholegrain, so a health food!) a banana and a yogurt. I also took a satsuma but couldn't be bothered peeling it so I have that for tomorrow. :D

Jo - I struggle making packed lunch just for me. I keep trying to convince DD1 to take packed lunch but she insists on buying her lunch most days. It's out of her wages I suppose, but I was hoping if she made her own, she'd make some for me as well. Not only would I not have to make them, I'd also have a surprise for lunch every day! ;)

Well doing my own lunches took a setback today! I had a pack of wraps, but they were all stuck together, and when I tried to separate them carefully they all ended up with holes ripped in them. Out of a pack of 6, ive only got 2 usable ones, so need another pack at an extra cost of £1.35...grrrr!

Take the ripped ones back to the shop! Don't spend more money, i'd say they are obliged to replace them for you.

Mon 21st - No spend lunch today for me. I had half a smoked sausage n Ainsley's cous cous, plus a yoghurt from home.
Tues 22nd - cheese n onion toastie, a yoghurt, satsuma and some grapes.

Wed 23rd - Another NSL! (no spend lunch!) Another cheese n onion toastie, yog, satsuma and grapes.... may need to get a colleague to buy me some chocolate when they go out for lunch. minimal spend expected. I have trail mix to eat as well but chocolate may be in order! I'll update.

Another no spend lunch for me too today. Took a roll and a tub of Philadelphia to work as no time to make anything this morning. Also took packet of crisps, banana and yogurt.

Don't know what I'm going to do tomorrow as have no bread in and can't be bothered to set the breadmaker going. Think I'll either take a tin of soup that's been in the cupboard forever, or cheese and crackers.

Think I'll add how much I could have potentially spent to my sig to keep me motivated.

  • Cheese sarnies both days for me! And as predicted, now I've started the night job (and lunch is at 4am!) there is nothing open, forced to take something with me three nights a week! So

    Mon - £0
    Tues - £0
    Wed - £0
    Thur - £0
Fri - £0 (working nights so will be at home all day asleep or eating for free, woo-hoo!)

Although went out for tea with some friends and spent a tenner, in the old days would have done that on top of the £3-4 at lunch time! All in all this month I've probably spent the least I ever have since I was at school and didn't have my own disposable income!!
