this week
Mon 14th - Left over shepherds pie, and yoghurt from home.
Tues 15th - Home made soup, bread and a yoghurt... will admit to 60p buying a donut though (oh the shame of it!!!!!!!) Just have to admit to going out in afternoon and buying a bag of crisps and some grapes (half price, yellow stickered) £1.65
Wed 16th - Ainsley's cous cous and some smoked sausage, plus a yoghurt. (grapes and crisps for snack in afternoon, bought grapes yesterday, crisps from home)
Thu 17th - Ham, cheese n pickle sandwich, into the toastie machine at work. Plus a cupa (allegedly)soup (bleuch!) and a yoghurt. Plus yesterdays crisps and grapes!
Fri 18th - £5.20 on chicken pie, veg n tatties at garden centre. t'was yummy! and i won't beat myself up about it, have decided to let it go once a week.
Total spend for week£7.45 which i know is a lot to some, but that is at least 25% less than a normal week. Average £4 a day before... please don't analyse that maths, too late to think!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -

I wouldn't count that in your lunch log challenge hun, just in your daily spends. Unless you routinely drink wine for lunch, in which case, you and i need to talk!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Well, as you see from my sig I've had a fantastic start - not!
I started this on Thursday and bought lunch on Thursday and Friday. In my defence I did buy a roll, a slice of ham and a bit of coleslaw from the supermarket to make my own roll up (and a packet of crisps) on Thurs, and on Friday I went for the cheaper option from the sandwich van (and then found out he's put the price of his crisps up by 5p!).
Will try and take lunch every day next week to make up for my completely pathetic start.

Hi all - can I join this challenge please? Confession time first I work Monday to Friday and spend between £4-£5 A DAY!!! on lunch. I am off to Sainsburys at 10 and will buy everything I need for lunch for the next week. I have never taken lunch to work before so will start the week with £25.00 in my purse and hopefully by Friday it will still be there!

Morning all, I managed another day at work yesterday without spending - what's more I got given a free dinner! Bonus!!
I have decided that when I do seccumb (sp?) to lunch at work, I spend a minimum of £1.50, so as an incentive, every day that I do not buy lunch, I will transfer £1.50 to the egg card, to get that debt down - there is no minimum payment to make on that card, so I can do a daily tiny payment with no problem. I once did this with the cost of the daily latte on my way to a previous job that I had got into the habit of buying, and every time I got to work without buying coffee, I transferred £1.35 to the egg card instead! It really made a difference then, so I hope it would do so now!
Hope everyone has a good week!Successful women can still have their feet on the ground. They just wear better shoes. (Maud Van de Venne)Life begins at the end of your comfort zone (Neale Donald Walsch)0 -

Hi superpup, I wouldn't count thursday in your lunch log budget, stick it in your grocery budget. So you didn't have a pathetic start afterall
Well, the cupboards are bare and so I'm off shopping in a couple of hours to get the lunches in for next week. DS says he wants a corned beef sarnie for lunch tomorrow, frube yogurt, an apple and pear, oh and a couple of slices of cheese - so looks like that's what I'm having too!
Anybody got any good ideas for sarnies, rolls or wraps fillings that my 5yr old DS and I would like?DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Not going shopping til tomorrow now - forgot the rent goes out of my debit card account:( so tomorrows lunch is gonna be something interresting from the cupboards!
Im not sure what we are counting as "rules" for this challenge, but personally I dont include anything that I have brought for the week from my grocery challenge - only additiona food brought at lunchtime specifically for lunch/snacks at work.£2 Savers club £0/£150
