  • I think I've probably saved at least £40 this month... so far! As I'm only going to be getting half the pay at the end of Jan (due to only working part time until my new job starts - tomorrow) I'm glad I've got into good habits now! Will have to not buy lunch out of necessity next month!

    Anyway, this week:

    Monday 14th - £0
    Tuesday 15th - £0
    Wednesday 16th - £0
    Thursday 17th - £0
Friday 18th - £0 (am at home all day so definitely eating at home!)

I'm totally echoing what someone said on the previous page as well, I really begrudge laying out anything for food at work or doing the day at all now, if you'd said I'd feel like this this time last month I'd have laughed in your face!

Well I am so pleased with myself this week! I managed a no-spend Mon - Thurs but obviously Friday is chip day and so I will be having school dinners today, although in just 2 weeks and just having a dinner on a Friday puts my total at £4.94  which is just awful, but I have saved £19.76 by taking in my lunch for 8 days:j

I was contemplating making some lunch today but on chip day practically all the staff order them too and the place smells so delicious of chips and vinegar that I just can't do that to myself (ahem....plus it's crumble and custard today :o )

  • Aw, I feel a bit guilty today seeing all these no spends! Still, I am in week 3 and spent less than £3 this week, so not too bad. I definitely won't spend this lunch time, I promise!!

  • Little Miss Trouble - sealed pot challenge just involves putting all your change in to a sealed pot - well, putting anything in there really. I put anything above 10p.

Change pots are for 1ps, 2ps and 5ps.
