£1000 in four months challenge!!

Hiya everyone and fellow savers!! Ive posted this before, but decided to chage the name of the challenge hehe.

Fancy saving some dosh for around christmas time?? know its early to talk about it but better to start saving now rather than later!!

This idea has come from my friends at the £1000 in 2 month challenge!! you know who u are!! :beer:

This challenge will start from the 20th of August and will end by 20th of decemeber just in time for all those expensive xmas neccessities!! (I know I spelt it wrong oops)

You can aim for bronze £500, silver £750 or gold £1000.:D

This money has to be money that is saved and made from an extra job, doing things online winning comps, selling on ebay etc, see the other thread for ideas, quidco really helped me! I am going to use my large budwiser jar to collect any loose change and empty it at the end of the challenge last time I had £500!! I was amazed! :rotfl: My credit card has gone from £3000 to £1140!!

I dont think there is anything else to say about it really apart from let us know ur ideas so we can all help each other!!:D

Hi Dezzi, count me on board!! I am going to aim for Bronze of £500, but anything else is a bonus. My aims are to sell a fair few bits on ebay, get really into quidco'ing, and use my change jar. No time for a 2nd job unfortunately, for I think the above should keep me busy!!

Thanks! First 2 weeks may be a little slow for me as I am off on my hols, but when I get back will be in full money saving mode! £500 would be great to reach, so anymore is a bonus for me. Catch you when I get back xx

Are you aiming for gold? Hope Lynz and everyone from the previous challenge joins in - I didn't post but watched from the sidelines, and it was so motivating. Maybe we should copy and paste some of the Quidco stuff over to here that Lynz posted (thanks chick

) ? That would get people off to a good start x

Hi Dezzi, I followed the last challenge and am amazed by all of your progress. Count me in for this challenge although im sure if I have anything to sell on Ebay Ect. I do work a part-time weekend jonb so that can be put towards it although in 4 Months I may well earn over £1000 from it. Any extra will certainly help though and Im going to try and get the rest of the family involved

Quick question - I set a weekly budget for myself for food and personal spends. If I manage to spend less than my allocated budget one week, can I throw that leftover cash into the pot for this challenge? x

I was thinking the same? As a single mum working full time i dont realy ahve time to work part time too, but im going for bronze. Anything else will be a bonus.
