£0 again today but am treating my daughter to lunch on Thursday as she's bringing my 3 week old Grandson over to see me in my lunch break. Do I have to count that? It's not going to be a spur of the moment thing because I couldn't be bothered to make anything. I can't let her drive over to see me and not buy her lunch (and they won't let me eat sandwiches there and there's nowhere else close enough to meet).

Have I pleaded my case enough? :o  ;)

  • Congratulations Cassie!!! Wonderful news. I think a little indulgence can be forgiven considering the circumstances :p

Anyway, this week am on track to have no spends apart from Thursday when going on for one of the girls at work's leaving lunch. Thankfully we have a great pub near us that do a carvery for £3.50!! How cool is that! So this month I'm on track to have spent £15 in total on lunches, including three lunches out which is out of the ordinary for me in a month. Based on £3 a day (and usually I spend more than three pound, more like £4 but wanted to be conservative about it) that's a saving of £54 in a month! That's going on my Olympic Challenge total!

    Monday 28th - £0
    Tuesday 29th - £0
Wednesday 30th - £0 (Am stopping in all day! It's my Sunday tomorrow!)
    Thursday 31st - £3.50
    Friday 1st - £0

Congrats Cassie!! Lovely news :) (although it doesn't make me broody anymore - been there and done it 3 times and definately won't be doing it again :D

Well, hanging my head in shame here and I've got no excuses for today either, things have gone completely up the swanny this week.

So, can I scrap my totals and start afresh next week? Pretty Please??

  • Thanks all. Not planned and was a shock but will be fine, I'm sure!

Due September so a lot of time for saving yet!

And yes, no excuse for being naughty at lunch, but still in budget overall this month (budgeted alcohol consumption has saved me a fair bit!!) so I don't feel too bad!

Just about to update my signature after yesterdays splurge...
