hi Looby! Come on in and join us.... new month n all that!

In fact if noone minds, i would like to say a few words.......

(Clears throat for dramatic effect!!), after a month of this challenge for some of us, i wanted to say that we have all done really well, even those of us who have lost the way at times (like me! especially in week 1!)

Overall we were probably spending £20-£30 a week on lunches which would be £100+++ in January alone. And that's a conservative estimate! We have all saved loads of money regardless of whether we stray at times, what's £4 a week when previously it was £4 a day!!

Let's start afresh for a new month (a nice short month!!) and kick the butt of this lunch log challenge!!

Plus i reckon we must all be healthier too as we are buying in less shop stuff and sweeties etc!

As Fletch so rightly said, planning is key, or words to that effect!

Thanks to Cassie for starting the thread and keeping the member list up to date!!! I'm going to nomiate you for post of the month for this as it's had a really positive effect on me and others i think. If anyone wants to second the POM thing, then ... http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?p=8334497&posted=1#post8334497

This was a public service announcement by maz on behalf of the lunch log challenge :D

    - the end

  • Just totalled my month of lunches. £16.55 for a whole month's worth of lunches. Imagine that! Normally it's c£4 per day so I would have spent upwards of £80 by now and I bet I would have had less enjoyment (except maybe for a baked potato from Sainsbury's where they don't know portion control - yum)
