Well, I resisted the urge to buy a Sainsbury baked potato with chilli (them that don't know portion control) but only because I want a no spend week.
Monday 4/2 - £3.50 - Sandwiches & ham (surprise, surprise) and 12 cans diet coke and multi pack crisps. This £3.50 should stretch for over two weeks (provided nobody gets sticky fingers here at work)
Tuesday 5/2 - £0 - bagels with cheese & pickle & diet coke (from above). I even got a free journey on the bus today
Wednesday - £0 - Sandwiches with, wait for it, chicken! I also had it with Warburtons EXTRA thick. My God!Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -

Must be a day for falling off the bandwagon today!!! I had to get some shopping in, so bought a sandwich from somerfields. Grrr!
however i like to allow myself one day a week, which is usually friday, so it will be a home made lunch tomorrow instead... spend so far this week £3.25...I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
............. well, you know how I said I resisted the urge to shop at Sainsburys (shop of the no portion control) yesterday? I sort of decided today to forego my daily sandwich and have one.
So, off I trot 10 mins down the street in search of a heaving portion of potato (sometimes 1 and a half) with chilli. Guess what? Go on, guess??
They had a BIG sticker on the counter saying they weren't selling it today!! I could have chilli & rice (container too small) chicken tikka & rice (container too small) so I was foiled in my attempt to spend.

That is Karma or serendipity or some such thing!!! - at least you had a sandwich as back up and resisted the urge to buy an alternative.
Although naughty you for leaving your sandwich in search of other things!Served you right if you'd gone back to work and found your sandwich was in the huff!!

The sandwich did indeed taste a wee bit stroppy to be fair
Still, I slathered on some mustard pickle and it perked right up. I know how to treat my sandwich you know!! Imagine my intention to have a dalliance of the carry out persuasion being foiled though. Gee whizz! I was RAGING!
Still, my signature will look MUCH nicer without the addition of a £3 tattie.Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0
