  • Thanks Maz3374, it's so hard to stop buying lunch, but hopefully once i'm in the swing of it it will get easier. There are free cakes at work today, so I am getting my freebie :) Well done for doing so well this week. :D

I meant to say any recipe ideas suggestions on things we can all try for lunches is much appreciated!

We all get a bit fed up of cheese sandwiches every day!!

Sometimes we get exotic and have a toastie! Or even (heaven forbid!) you might see the odd bagel!

Everyones work kitchens are different, mine has a kettle, a micro and a breville toastie maker... so i consider myself lucky!! i brought the breville in as it wasn't used at home, am thinking of chucking it out now as it's kinda grubby and redeploying the george foreman from home as it is seldom used and i'd get more use of it here...

    decisions decisions!

  • We do have a microwave at work. I could make myself make pasta and take that to work. One of my boyfriends flat mates was making herself pasta the other morning for work, so she even got up to do it - that's quite disciplined!

Hiya Debt Free Me and welcome to Cassie's thread :D

I really shouldn't be allowed to leave the house :( I brought in a buttered roll, grapes, a clementine, dried banana chips and a (couple of :o ) choklit swiss rolls. Instead......I drove to the petrol station as I was on empty and didn't want to do it after work and my local petrol station has a M&S Simply Food in it, had to be done didn't it.......SMALL pack of sushi AND a prawn layered salad  oh, and then I managed to eat everything I brought for lunch bar the roll

    Sushi and prawn salad... yum!

I think it encourages you to eat more healthily bringing in your own lunch, although having healthy snacks in the house can seem expensive....

I so need to shape up and lose the weight of a spice girl, so every little helps!

  • Tut tut lol, just joking. Well we all have our relapses. I am craving for some chocolate but I am resisting. I have hot chocolate in my drawer at work so may get on that if I start to crave even more. :D

I often boil some dried noodles for 4 mins in the morning, add a handful of frozen veg and a shake of soy sauce, and have that either hot or cold for lunch. Takes next to no time. x
