My arm is still giving me grief. I can bend it ok but can’t lift or hold anything if it’s away from my body. Dh says it’s swollen….i can’t beget it in a position to see.
Dh is taking Millie Motorhome for its 2 nd hab check tomorrow and I’m going to the singing group. Hopefully we should both arrive home about the same time and then I’ll take Dh out for his birthday. I was really pleased this morning as the jumper I’d bought him is ok….but not what I really wanted for him. I met a friend in my little town and we had tea and a toasted t cake for breakfast then she suggested a trip to Primani…..the coat I’ve had my eye on but wasn’t sure if if was ‘me’ or not was purchased after she’d confirmed it was - a bargain at £32…..slightly different from the £180 one I’d had my eye on last year but couldn’t justify that much money. 😁….i also bought another dress the same as the one I’d left in the cafe a couple of weeks ago. I’d paid for my purchases and was waiting for my friend at the end of the tills. There was a stand with gift cards ….one was for a steam train ride. So I’ve bought that for Dh to go with his jumper. We will include it on one of our Millie Motorhome trips next year 😁😁😁 I feel much happier about tomorrow now.

Dh was very pleased with his presents and had a great weekend. We ended up heading out on the tram on Friday and went to a model train shop he hasn’t visited since before COVID. We went for a drink then decided we’d get on the first tram to see where we ended up. I haven’t been where we ended up for years so it was lovely mooching around. It has had a big revamp since we were last there. We eventually ended up in big city for a Turkish feast which was absolutely delicious. I hadn’t realised the markets for Christmas were opening Friday so it was a pleasant surprise. We’d planned on the first mulled wine of the season but we were both so full we didn’t bother…we did have a look around part of it. Dare say we will visit several times before Christmas.Ds came around on Saturday and drove us to a National Trust place over the Pennines from us. We ended up in a shopping mall and had a Thai buffet…..again it was delicious. Then we went to see Dh sister and went for a carvery on Sunday. I’m not holding my breath for a loss at SW on Wednesday. I was careful in my choices though 🥴
So it’s been a spendy weekend for me. I’m quite happy though as I had the money there and it put a smile on Dh face.I’ve come to the conclusion that as long as I have the money there and am getting value for money - it’s time to enjoy myself. Dh close relative has just been diagnosed with dementia…nobody knows what’s around the corner so I’m doing a bit of making sure I’ve got enough for bills and an emergency fund then doing what makes us happy 👍
My arm had been a lot better until I started doing some housework today. It’s not quite back where it was last week but it’s not right. I’m really reluctant go to the GP as I know they’ll probably send me back to the hospital which is quite a distance away. I’m still in a study monitoring the elbow replacement and another doc won’t touch it whilst I’m being monitored. I’ll give it a bit longer as if it’s just a pulled muscle or tendon it’ll sort itself out soon 🤞January spends - £587.582 -

I had a hearing test this morning…..new hearing aids are heading my way on Monday 👍😁
I had a lovely day seeing my brother yesterday…..I haven’t seen him for a few weeks, since before I had the sore throat and cough. I didn’t want to share. He seemed better than last time I saw him which was good to see 😁
There is a definite nip in the air today. I really noticed when I went to SW this morning as expected I’d had a gain but it was only 1/2lb which I was quite pleased with after Dh birthday celebrations 😁 I need to get back on track now though. Feeling determined 👍January spends - £587.582
