My third diary.
<<<out of cheese error>> documented our debt free journey and then paying off the mortgage
+++ Whoops! Here comes the cheese! +++ focussed on early retirement plans, and then my first year as a widow.
This time I will be focussing on a positive new start in my brave new world.
Final stages of renovating a character property, with plans to sell and relocate. Currently mortgage free but who knows what the future holds?
Me, my two adult children and various animals.

I have committed a significant amount of money towards essential work on our home. This includes repairs to the drive and render, damp treatment and replacement of many windows. Necessary spends and hopefully I will see a return on the investment when I do come to sell. These works start in a few weeks and my current focus is on clearing as much of the house as I can so that the contractors have full access to the windows in this phase.
I have spent today re-sanding kitchen cupboards. It is rather nice oak but it is showing its age. It needs refurbishing rather than replacing. Luckily I already own the tools and materials to do this, even if my skills are occasionally lacking so a low cost intervention. Hurrah for youtube!
I need to empty the tiny freezer as MrL will have the frozen pretzels which are the preferred food of the One Who Doesn't Eat from Thursday. The last big joint of beef has therefore been cubed and is in the IP to make casserole. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++
