The pink converse are just as pretty as I expected, and are reasonably comfortable on what turned out to be a long excursion which is a bonus. If anyone else is thinking about reliving their youth then there are some very reasonably priced ones in the 0ffice sale - from £20.
Last night I cooked 'properly' for the first time in ages, making this duck with sauce, served with these green vegetables (minus the garlic which is a big IBS trigger for me) which worked together well. It is good to know I can still make something other than air fryer ping food and soup.
I have the rest of the duck carcass to do something with tonight as they only had whole birds (at £6, MrM). Lots of instant pot suggestions to look at, and hopefully enough stuff in the cupboards to make something edible out of it.

Brav1ssimo fans will be pleased to know that they appear to be back online, including offering virtual bra fittings by video call, no tape measures required.Half a pound off this week, rather random given how many times I have eaten out in the last week. I am now focusing on toning and moving more which probably helped, as does six months plus of not drinking. I have very few clothes left that actually fit, I need to have another sort through and actually re home the biggest ones. I think by keeping them I am giving myself permission to put the weight back on.My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

Well done on the weight loss: it's really good that you can see results and perhaps treat yourself to some new clobber.
Have you ever had your 'colours done'? A friend had an assessment to see what colours worked best for her, and she always looks great. I looked into it online (don't want to spend out if I can help it!) and found my colours are very much springtime, so I wouldn't suit what worked for my autumnal friend.

Well done on the weight loss. DH thinks I should keep some of my old clothes 'just in case'. I'd rather get rid of them for the same reasons as you."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". I have had my colours done Cherry, a few months ago actually. I'm 'Enigmatic' so the smoky warm dark end of autumn. It does help me to have a structure of colours and shapes that I know suit me, the tricky part is finding them in the shops. I try to resist 'ok' things but it isn't easy as I hate shopping.
Jwil, I only keep the decent things in wrong sizes like jeans that I actually like but I think this time I want cost to be a barrier to gaining weight.I need to go food shopping this morning, and see how many more pretzels I can squeeze in the freezer. I haven't made a list which is dangerous. There may be yarn in Aldee which is also dangerous. My mortgage free diary: +++ Divide by Cucumber Error. Please reinstall universe and reboot+++

That sounds like a beautiful range of colours redo. Again, not ones I can really wear but I can admire them on other people. Quite tricky to find, I would imagine. Could you research online before going to the shops, so at least you would have narrowed the field?
I think you should patent the idea of a game about fitting pretzels in the freezer. A bit like Tetris, but every ten items that go in, you have to take 25 out including a bulk item, rejig the new space, put back half of the bulky item, and lose a couple of pretzels to The Hungry Teenagers.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living.
