Must try harder…again!

Well, here I am, back again! I have missed our chats, your worldly wisdom and opinions on biscuits!
After losing my old dog in January I took a while to sulk, wallow in sadness and grump quietly…you know how it is 😖
Anyway we quickly cracked on the dog front and I have a 17 week German shepherd sleeping against my leg. We collected her at 8 weeks old, I spent a few months being one big bruise while puppy biting went off the scale, but touch wood she has been much better in the last few weeks. My arms and ankles are skin coloured now  (mostly) instead of bruise 😅 She is so lovely, but so different from a Labrador it’s like night and day. She skips around like a little black fairy half the time and like a t-Rex the other half.
I have got the summer house/spare garage roof replaced and am waiting on the windows and doors to be made. I really dithered about it, finally agreed, spent a large amount of my savings on it, spiralled because I’d spent my savings, spent more on frittering because I was so mad at myself for spending (make it make sense) and am now quietly fretting about it! I was cross as I paid 90% of it and MrWW promised to send me some back with overtime, but that may never happen. But I knew that when I decided! My car passed it’s mot,  but needs some work and I’m wondering if it’s time to replace. I’m tempted to get a loan, start paying it now and then hang on to the money until I need it as I know I’m much better at paying things I owe than I am at saving…but I know that’s a bit silly because of the interest. I get it, but having money now feels more secure than saving for 5 years to get it. Any thoughts?
Other than that, I can’t think of much to report, but I’m looking forward to catching up with you all 🐶

Lovely to see you back posting.  The new puppy sounds like a lovely addition.

I dislike having things on finance but I also fret about not having a reliable car so would have to factor in urgency.  I think I would be forever dipping into the funds marked as 'car' though.

Found you, you naughty thing not putting this link on your old thread! So pleased to have you back 😊

If you've paid for 90% of the garage summer house then I would prioritise focusing on getting that done, you've wanted it done for so long and it'll be a lovely addition to your space, especially when you're pottering trying not to disturb Mr WW
