Thought of you today @WinterWarrior as I bought a value pack of 10 Freddos - he seems to have been a victim of shrinkflation but only in size, not in price2

So happy to have found your new diary, @WinterWarrior
New pup sound adorable. With all her antics I am taken right back to getting silly dog right before the pandemic. He was 15 months old and had almost no training. I remember the first year of the pandemic as mainly me trying to tire him out, and him destroying all my cushions 🤣.
Sounds like the right decision sticking with the car you have now. Remember your underconsumption resolution for the year!Live the good life where you have been planted.

Well what a terrible start I had…my updates have been shocking, sorry. @AnotherNewDay shrinkflation gives me the rage! And yes I am indeed thinking often of the c word and avidly watching the TikTok updates on what’s in the stores…while equally being saddened by the size of the offerings. I’m old enough to remember when quality street tins were massive and now they are practically single layers. I also hate that they are plastic instead of tin. Not environmentally friendly, so I don’t know why they don’t change back.WWdog is almost 6 months old now and she’s so big compared to the little thing we brought home. She still won’t walk outside, but loves a drive to the beach and travels much better in the car now.Pay day today and I am determined to have a low spend reset month. Determined I tell you! 😂
I will report back later on my plans.

Happy Saturday ☀️
Well, as you know, I’m getting on well with ynab and have tasked myself with getting a month ahead. I have filled 3 of the smaller categories twice this payday. So my broadband, postcode lottery and fuel are funded for September and October. It’s a start, although the big amounts like the mortgage may take a while. Ynab gives you your money age, the time between earning and spending. I’ve got mine to 25 days (I’m not sure how 🤭) and am hoping to get that to a higher number as I go along.I’m definitely reciting the is it a need or a want question…and I know I don’t need any clothes, even though the sales emails are very tempting. A bargain is only a bargain if you were planning to buy it at full price anyway.
i have given myself £100 a week spending money for the next 4 weeks, but nothing for the 5th week as I get paid in the middle of that week anyway. If I’m not mindlessly frittering, then I should have money left each week to put in either my sinking funds, or to carry over to my month in front target. Even I can’t spend £100 a week on chocolate! 😬
WWpuppy is testing MrWW’s patience today, and MrWW is testing mine. WWpuppy does not resource guard, but MrWW does 😖

Resource guarding sounds very trying indeed.
Unsubscribe from the emails WW! There are too many pretty things in the world and we are strong and capable and (mostly) focused people with goals to achieve 💪2 -
Aah pip, I have so many emails, as I used to do a lot of competitions. I need to spend time culling the herd as I have so many random companies chasing me…from cricket to holidays. Nothing I even want to spend money on. I will keep all the confectionery companies though 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Don't make it into a job that needs to be tackled, just tick the boxes and delete all selected, then when one comes in immediately unsubscribe.
Keep whichever ones you like m'dear, it would be a sad old world with no treats. But for me I really feel like being bombarded with things you could buy even if you don't want them, massively adds to the internal pressure to buy something and then nothing's a treat that genuinely brings pleasure which is not the way round it should be, financially or emotionally!2
