Sorry to hear you've got a cold milann - especially with the bad timing with the singing group too. Typical!

Got my flu jab tomorrow. Cant say it is something I am looking forward to, but I am determined I don't want flu again this winter.
Hope your sniffle and sore throat get better soon.0 -
I totally agree Beanie…..I’m to blame for the weight gain. Nobody is forcing me to go out and eat cake and nice things but it’s rather good when I do. I’ve been listening to some self help tapes again. I keep telling myself I don’t need sugar every day….its not working 😂😂😂
I got onto the company where I’d got dds Christmas present from. I was concerned that if I took it out of the package I’d never get it back in should I need to return it. I was very impressed with the after sales service. They’d replied within half an hour asked me to unpack it and send photos how it arrived and then the individual pieces….which I did. The inner packaging was actually fine as were the pieces. I had a lovely email back apologising and stating they were contacting the delivery folk as the state it arrived wasn’t acceptable. I didn’t get any discount though😂😂😂😂but I’d already got a bargain 👍😁. I’m just pleased I didn’t have to send it back. It is now stored in pieces in Millie Motorhome. The plan is to take a cushion from it at Christmas with a picture of the whole thing and then take the rest down before Spring, as they won’t be using it until the better weather arrives. I hope they like it after all this…..I’m pretty sure they will.
I didn’t go out this morning…..in fact I haven’t been out for a few days. The wheeze had turned into a really rattly cough. Hopefully it’s on its way out now. I’m not blocked up or sneezing….just a sore throat and rattling chest and cough. I don’t feel poorly……just tired.Dh was out last night so I went to bed and watched a very bizarre film. Olivia Coleman was in it and I usually like her things. The young boy actor was very good…..but it was just the strangest film I’ve watched. Joy Ride.
I’ve started crocheting blankets for my gks. It’s a crochet along (where the pattern is released weekly and people crochet at the same time) but I’m just going solo as the pattern was all released in Spring. It’s called blossom and buds but I’m going to freestyle, I’d rather be individual and there are some panels I’m not keen on. I'm really enjoying it so far. Who knows i might even have them ready for next Spring 😂😂😂😂😂 I’m doing 2 different colour ways to match the girls rooms 😀 I will post pictures when they are finished 🤞👍

I can’t wait to see the blankets! I tried crochet and rashes and burned…I should try again! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Redo well have to encourage each other. I’ve had loads of help on here…👍thanks folks….for not giving up on me 👍
Mmmmmm……I might have the incentive I need to loose weight. Some of you may remember that we were planning a cruise many moons ago for our 40th wedding anniversary…in fact over 6 years ago😏 doesn’t time fly by when you’re having fun 😂😂...then I broke my arm and had to undergo loads of tests and eventually have major surgery on it. I didn’t want to go all that way and spend lots of money and not be able to use the pool…..which I couldn’t for a long time. Then Covid hit and we didn’t fancy a tin box of germs so we bought Millie Motorhome instead. Anyway as I was sitting snuffling and sneezing and generally feeling sorry for myself yesterday. Dh passed his phone and said……what do you think of that…..a Mediterranean Cruise in April. I said it looked ok but he was on his way out and didn’t say anymore. I have half a dozen dresses in my wardrobe which we laughingly started calling my cruise dresses last time we were thinking of one. Now I can’t fit in any of them 🤪😱😳😂 So I wouldn’t be surprised if he books it as a surprise as he like surprises….or I could be disappointed cos I’m putting 2 and 2 together and making 20 😂😂😂😂😂 So I’d better get into those posh frocks….just in case. We have talked about a nice holiday when he finishes work…..watch this space 🤞🤞🤞
I haven’t had a streaming cold like this for ages. It’s not a chest infection or anything nasty…..just a really heavy cold with a really chesty cough which sounds awful but it must be viral as there’s no nasty gunk or anything. My throat is now a lot better and I’m hoping it’s on its way out.
Dh and Ds have been out for a curry today as I didn’t want to go. I did nip to the shop for some more cold tablets and a few fresh bits so £20 spent. I’ve done very little other than that though.January spends - £587.584 -

the problem i found with losing weight before a cruise that the availability of nice food may require looser garments towards the end
