All sounding good for your birthday, hope my card has arrived . I don't need to go to the hospital tomorrow , that's what the interruption was about. The only thing I'm not looking forward to in our volunteering is catching all the kids colds and coughs 😂.
Have a good time tomorrow as well.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.0 -

I’m home from Dds. Seasidegal I waved to you over the water 👍
I’ve had an amazing birth week 😂😂😂 Dh took me to the seaside town with the big tower for an afternoon tea. It was a surprise but I’d guessed the previous weekend when we walked past the hotel and Dh had a cheeky smirk he was trying to hide. On Saturday my actual birthday we headed to a city we often visit about an hour away. The plan had been to have a nice Chinese meal but when I passed my favourite Turkish restaurant I changed my mind. Ds had remembered the restaurant had opened a new place near the town hall so we walked past. It was slightly more expensive as they didn’t have the same cheap and cheerful offers - but Dh didn’t seem to mind as it was a special occasion. So we headed on in. Wow what a building it was….it used to be an old bank and when it was built the port was a very prosperous place (for the rich half of the city….there was also plenty of poverty) Anyway the building had been restored beautifully. The chandeliers were just magnificent, as was the ceiling. The food was also pretty good 👍 From there we had a saunter by the river before heading home.Sunday we headed to the theatre to see The Uke Orchestra of GB…..I wasn’t particularly looking forward to it but it was amazing. There were only 7 players but the precision and humour made it very special. It’ll definitely see them again. The group dh plays with weren’t half bad in the foyer as the warm up act either. I think Dh regretted not putting himself forward to play. That brought me to Monday when I headed to see Dd. My train to London was cancelled….it was only 20 minutes for the next train but it had a knock on effect for the follow on train which is only hourly. I’m going to try and get some compensation, as it made me an hour late overall 🤞I’d planned a day out with Dd yesterday but it wasn’t to be as one of the gks was off school with a sore throat. We had a lovely day chatting and chilling in the house though and to be honest it was just what I needed. She was much better today and went back to school today, so myself and Dd walked by the sea, I bought some trousers at a lovely independent shop and we had brunch before I got on the train home. I literally couldn’t fit the trousers in my rucksack so Dd will bring them when she visits us at the end of the month.
I’ve spent some cash and treated Dd for her birthday but I’d taken the cash out in September.
I’m counting tomorrow as my 1st October spending day. My cc will be paid in full first thing in the morning and I’ll start my new month from there 👍January spends - £587.585
