Three data reward sim changes

@Phones4Chris Sorry to be crass but would you mind being more open about the "resolution" you achieved with 3?

I had raised a complaint by email and received a phone call yesterday. To be fair a rather nice and knowledgeable guy. He confirmed that the 200mB per month offer is now no longer available - as a "resolution" I was given £15 credit. I have converted £10 of the credit to 1GB data for 30 days which I trust I will be able to use in USA in mid January.gwapenut said:
One further fact I have gleaned from the other forum - we are now subject to their Go Roam £2 per day roaming charge, which makes it unusable for me. I don't think there is any way of opting out of this?
The rep confirmed that the PAYG accounts do not have the daily roaming charges that the pay monthly accounts now have. Of course I will find out for certain once I am in New York.2 -
Thanks @merchcon55 it sounds like the post on the other forum was misinformed. Please do report back after your trip to the USA.0

When you say refund, do you mean give you credit to that value or refund the cash you loaded onto the sim? The latter would be fairer, but networks are a lot happier giving a morsel of usage that costs them nothing than the moolah they obtained with false promises.alanjones60 said:they will refund my £21 pay as you go credit as well

Do keep us informed as to whether you get that refund and does that include any goodwill payment credit you've been given as a result of these changes to the tariff?

I got a PAC and ported my number onto an RWG SIM.southone said:Do keep us informed as to whether you get that refund and does that include any goodwill payment credit you've been given as a result of these changes to the tariff?
Once the number was active on RWG I contacted Three and they refunded my remaining credit balance back to my bank account no problem.4 -
Thanks, did that include the goodwill credit you'd been given?3wheels said:

Its good of three to refund payg credit, you lose it with other networks.
Iv decided to keep my three number along with RWG sim in my dual sim phone.
Iv used my 02 sim for a few weeks in my phone. ( see my other threads on here as to why i was going to use 02)
When did 02 get so crap? No recepition 50% of the time.
Im keeping my three sim,as everywhere i go three has never let me down.
And yes i will remember to use it once every 180 days.0 -
The Ombudsman has 'accepted' my case and is looking in to it : They did warn me that the case may not get very far, but we shall see....5
