Two course pancake meal on Shrove Tuesday with no exceptions
We do a few savoury to begin with - cheese, fake ham that kind of thing. Then we move to lemon and sugar or maple syrup. Always crepe style on Shrove Tuesday but I actually prefer American/Scotch pancakes normally.£2023 in 2023 challenge - £17.79 January4 -

For more tasty pancakes, I replace about a third of the flour with buckwheat flour. I eat with dark treacle.

Very traditional here: white wheat flour + eggs + cow’s milk (full, unskimmed), fried in butter, sprinkled with currants, rolled up on a sugared plate and served with a squeeze of lemon juice.“Tomorrow is another day for decluttering.”Decluttering 2023 🏅🏅🏅🏅⭐️⭐️

Lemon and sugar. We'll eat them with fillings etc on other days of the year but on Shrove Tuesday it has to be lemon and sugar.1

American style as been requested here. Thick and covered in maple syrup.1

It's my birthday! And it was also pancake day on the day I was born. (It's not always the same date).
I'm having lemon juice, gorgeous. With maybe a dash of sweetener. We have savoury mince, it's just onions, carrots, potatoes and mince, sauted and gravy added.
I will use quorn mince tomorrow.
My mum used to make it with corned beef when I was growing up.1 -
