Good morning, I'm going to start sewing a circular patchwork cushion this morning to go with the square one I made.Yesterday I did an inventory of my double knitting stash and discovered I had used more than 3 kilos of wool since my last inventory. I was really pleased with this. I have about 2 kilos left but very little that would do for knitting kids stuff.I've had a set back with the snowman jumper. I'm using the 100% acrylic wool and it's knitting up very large. Anyway I knitted the back and sleeves and adjusted the size for the tension. Nearly finished the front last night to discover the snowman was too big and would only have half a head 🤣🤣🤣. So I've ripped it back. I will photocopy the pattern and draw in a smaller snowman. It won't take me long as it's for my grandson who will be 18 months at Christmas.
@KajiKita Cant wait to see your cupboard with all your crafting stuff

we made lovely lavender wands at craft club this week. They were a bit tricky but very pleased with our first time efforts. I was helping others so made mine at home after observing all of the pit falls.
@sammy_kaye18 I would love to take the credit for the lovely pet stockings but the credit goes to @Florenceem. 🙂do you start at the top with the ribbon?

I'm having a refresh in my living room, and would like some sort of flower display to put on my mantle shelf.
What can I go out an forage to create a display?SPC 0373 -
@glad the lavender wands are tied together just below the flowers using about 2 and half metres of ribbon. The short end of ribbon stays at the bottom to make the bow so leave enough for that. You need an odd number of stems. 9 is good. Then fan the stems out to 45 degrees and weave the ribbon through each stem. After going around once, fold the stems down over the flowers and continue weaving to the end. All of the stems need to be stripped down so that there is just one flower head and they need to be freshly picked to be pliable. Only put in with clothes after they are completely dried (30 days) or the oils can discolour the fabric.
They are trickier than they look but these were all first attempts. I dried left over lavender and my DGDs made lavender bags. They are only 7 and 8. It was their first attempt with a sewing machine and they could barely open the adult pinking shears. They persevered and I am really proud of them. We also made some lavender oil which is still fermenting.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

@madlyn. I would forage any pretty greenery that you can find and then add a few bold coloured flowers to it. Very few flowers can make a stunning arrangement with the right foliaage. Also lavender is ready for picking at the moment so you could add some fragrance to your display.craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

My cousin brought me an arrangement of dried grasses from her garden. Still looks great almost a year later
