Hi, today I sewed 2 pillowcases. I had bought a half price duvet - it was end of stock and there were no matching pillowcases so I bought the single duvet and made the pillowcases. I've got enough fabric to make 2 spare pillowcases and a cushion cover.
I also bought 100% acrylic yarn to knit the first Christmas jumper. I've finished the back and it's ok - it just seems very hard compared with the yarn I usually knit with. It was cheap and as it's for Christmas it's not going to be worn for that long.
@Florenceem your doggy stockings are great. You're going to make a lot for your charity 😃Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine I have absolutely no crafting motivation either but I am very aware that its August and I will need to get my !!!!!! in gear before long!
@Soontobeoap I love the stockings and things. Having 3 dogs I should probably get round to making them one each.
@greentiger I will get there eventually but real life at the minute is taking my attention. I am busy arguing with people at the minute it seems - first it was tax credits, then it was virgin media yesterday and today it looks like it will be a courier firm who were meant to deliver two parcels and only delivered one but Ive just looked on their page and it says both parcels were delivered. It is not my week.
All I have done so far crafting wise for the whole of July was make a get well card for my grandmother, and write a penpal letter thats not even finished or in an envelope!
Goals for August will be :-
+ Birthday card for step nanna
+ Finish Christmas cards I sewed last year and never gave out!
+ 3 small Christmas cross stitches (I could get one mostly done in a day I think)
+ Attempt Crochet again (Daughter wants to try as well)
+ I will start this bloody Macrame!Time to find me again8 -
we made lovely lavender wands at craft club this week. They were a bit tricky but very pleased with our first time efforts. I was helping others so made mine at home after observing all of the pit falls.
@sammy_kaye18 I would love to take the credit for the lovely pet stockings but the credit goes to @Florenceem. 🙂craft stash 2023 =161, 2024 = 119 2025 = £25.96 spent, 128 made and 5 mended,

Hello, I havent commented for ages, but I have been regularly admiring the photos of your wonderful makes. Some great ideas!
I havent been doing much crafting recently, first there was all the garden work, and then a lot of DIY. I am currently on with another pair of curtains but am really looking forward to crafting again.
I have been watching some videos on YouTube by "Just get it done quilts" especially about unfinished objects, decluttering and getting your sew-jo back. So helpful!! As well as a huge craft stash, I have a huge vintage linens stash. I have now sorted this into - for use by me for intended purpose, for craft use, for rags, for other people, and bin. I dropped a bag of embroidered table cloths and runners at the charity shop, and I feel so much better for having gone through it! I need to go through the craft stuff soon, but feel confident I can.2025 craft items finished 11/12

Good morning, I should be thrown out of this group as I've been really naughty 🥹. My friend took me to a quilting shop where I planned to spend about £10 on fabric to to add to my stash to make a cushion and a throw. Well, I ended up going daft and spending £55 but I came away happy and motivated. Ive been feeling quite fed up with some health problems recently and needed a bit of a lift. That's my excuse anyway 🤣.
For anyone looking to buy knitting yarn I've just found the Wool Factory online. It's a wool outlet and their prices are brilliant. I've got tons of chunky and Aran yarn in my stash but very little dk so might order from them once I know what I need to buy.@Soontobeoap your lavender wands are lovely. I can just smell them when I look at them 🤩
