You know sometimes you need a “shove” to get you finishing something?
New little boy kitty cat gave me just that….and not in the best way 🤣🤣 We have had him for 3 weeks, he was almost feral from a hoarders house (grrrr🤬🤬🤬), so has been mostly avoiding us etc. well on Friday evening, before I went to bed the poor boy had chronic poops…on my bed 🤢🤮🤢. So, all bedding de-pooped and into washing machine. When dry I SHALL be sewing the cover I made onto the comforter which is all now nice and clean lol.A good start to the year never the less lol.
Happy New Year all, let’s hope is a good one.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

Hi everyone,
I'm so glad you kept this thread going and I'm so sorry I disappeared.
2023 was a tough year for us as a family - we lost my father in law suddenly and then on the way home from his funeral my brother and sister in law were involved in a serious car accident which sadly killed my 19 year old niece so I sort of lost my crafting mojo.
I'm determined to craft through our grief this year so anyone up for a new thread for 2024?

December Review
@Pink12345, You’ve been very busy. These are great males; I bet your blackberry whisky and fudge will go down a treat.
@suzeesu2000, the patchwork skirt is very pretty. I made a T shirt dress for my granddaughter with a patchwork skirt. She had a t shirt that she loved but she had outgrown it lengthwise (she has always been skinny Minnie), so she got to wear it for quite a bit longer. And after that the t shirt part got made into a cushion, which she still has! Frankie is a lucky boy getting a nice comfy cushion. Isn’t it surprising, how cosy a crochet blanket is! I don’t envy you having to clean up after the kitkat. But you’ll love him just the same!
@emsi_b, you’ll have the best dressed shepherd in the Nativity! I hope you got your room sorted out. I’m still working on mine (as I said it was a room switcheroo, so it’s really 2 rooms), but I can see a pinprick of light at the end of the tunnel now. Well done on getting some mending done. Ilike that blouse fabric; you’ve done a good job. Oh no, I can’t believe it’s not fitting! That is so annoying!
@plumduff55, as usual you’ve come up trumps – those tree & snow hats are fab. Oh what rotten luck re Covid. I hope it’s all gone now and that you didn’t suffer too badly. I had it twice, but I was completely asymptomatic.
@old_fogey, isn’t it amazing what a difference mounting or framing a piece of embroidery does for it – they go from being a pretty piece of cloth to a work of art!
@daisy_1571, thank you for the wreath instructions. I have filed them away safely.
@Katiehound, you win the award for dedication to dogs – that is an astonishing amount of sewing! Well done.
@craftingmad, I have no words to give you that will make things better for you. Your experience of the loss of your father and niece is unimaginable. My heart goes out to you.

Thank you, @Soontobeoap.
The pattern is a Sirdar CAL, called Nordic Noel. You can download it free in 6 weekly parts from the Sirdar website. There are YouTube videos to go along with it.
I bought the pack because I was fed up just making things to use stuff up. The challenge of keeping up with the weekly parts got my crafting mojo back.Sewing 46/COLOR]Woollies 6Card s 17Reading 11/405 -

@greentiger What a brilliant idea for (a) using your stash & (b) being sustainable. I love the gift bags so will making some of those for Christmas 2024. And I am going to copy your granddaughter too if you don’t mind. T shirt patchwork dress sounds brilliant. I’ve just sorted all my stash into new stacking bins so I’ve an idea of what I’ve got now.I am planning to crochet a granny square jacket in different colours - I’ve got a few odd balls of yarn so will use them…..ooh might crochet a vest for the dress instead of using a t shirt..
see what you’ve done lol.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal
