Good morning, not posted for what seems ages and there are so many beautiful makes. I was away dog sitting for my son at the beginning of December then I caught a cold type virus which floored me for a couple of days. Test for Covid was negative so just a bad virus. I'm feeling a bit better now. I've nearly finished a chunky hat for a Xmas present and am on target to finish everything by Christmas Eve 🤣🤣🤣.
@suzeesu2000 Beautiful ways to use up your fabric stash and I love the waistcoat.
@greentiger lots of lovely cards and I love the doggy bag
@daisy_1571 Xmas bell looks great. I'd like to try that for next year. Lovely cards.
@emsi_b Beautiful cards
@Auti Your toadstool bag is gorgeous. My dgd would love one but I'm not sure I'm proficient enough to make it 🥴

Thank you @plumduff55, truly It was not that difficult to make but needed a little thought as the pattern was for the American market so yarn weights did not match and they name the crochet sts differently to English. Once that was sorted it was fine6

Good morning. I've finished another hat or rather 2 hats 😂. I knitted a hat for a friend who likes trees. I substituted the yarn and it just didnt work. It was too stiff and the trees didn't show up very well. So I bought more yarn ( not good for reducing my stash 🤪) and knitted a second one which is perfect. Another friend has asked for the first one to use when walking her dog. It is so thick that it will be really warm for cold winter mornings.FIRST ONESECOND ONE
I am now knitting another chunky tree hat but this one will have ear flaps. Again I am mixing 2 patterns so I'm hoping it works first time.

What a lot of fab makes!
I have tried to finish off and frame some old embroideries that have been stored for ages. The frames and mounting card were all to hand in my stash. The only one that needed any sewing was the big aerobic cats, which I kept putting off! Did it eventually. I mounted it on foam board as I'm not that keen on it, and didn't want to pay to frame it. I have struggled to get the creases out, but it has been folded in the drawer for 40 years or so. Hopefully they will drop out with time. The two floral pics were not done by me - one by my mum, and probably one by her friend ( they were cards) . There are a few square embroideries left to frame, I need to look in the charity shops for suitable frames.
I will not keep them all, I will give some to charity shops.

@suzeesu2000 Lovely makes.
@Cupcakecraftscuddlycanine hope you are in your new temporary accommodation for Christmas.
@plumduff55 Your hats look lovely and ideal for this weather.
old_fogey Nice idea to frame your embroideries.
In the spirit of using up fabric, that I do not particularly like, I have made several draw string bags and made them Christmasy by sewing on Christmas ribbon.
I have made 3 little gift voucher pouches, and another Christmas tree skirt, could not get the interior corners right, so I sewed the flowers to hide the imperfections.
I decoupaged the three Christmas pictures, not a craft I particularly like, but I had the supplies for years and wanted to use them up. Now the left-over napkins can be used for their original intended purpose at the dinner table. I hot glued ribbon to the edges of the pictures to finish them off, my printer ran out of ink, as I wanted to put Happy Christmas on the yellow right hand bottom picture along the side.
Today I am going to decant the blackberry whiskey that I made in September into bottles, for presents for my SIL and a family friend. Then make caramel and baileys fudge in the slow cooker, to give as presents. Then that’s me done with crafting until after Christmas.
Wishing everyone a happy and peaceful Christmas.

Sounds very yummy and I have a drop of Baileys left in the bottle ! This might be the incentive to save it......Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

@Katiehound I put in 3 tablespoons of baileys in, instead of the one as per receipe and used nestle carnation caramel. Its so simple to make. Enjoy7 -
thanks for that
What I can't see is what size s.c is being used! I have 3 sizes & guess it isn't the smallest one- 1.5 litres.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

@Katiehound
I just have a 6.5ltr, I would say the mixture was 1.5" to 2" max while melting, if that is any help to you.5 -
I will be crafting over the next couple of weeks- I need to "just move my desk back" in the craft office to change the size and shape of a window. There wasn't any floor space before I tidied this afternoon, how optimistic of the builders!!! I have managed to tidy a few bits away, piled the Christmas presents and have another pile of things to list on ebay. And then lots of craft stuff to move out of the way!!! Some UFOs like christmas gift bags and half made clothes would be for out of the craft office, so making those would be handy!Make £2025 in 2025- £751.88/£2025
