@plumduff55 that hat is gorgeous - both colour of the yarn and the richness of the texture …. 🤩❤️
Well done on persisting with the Aran jacket - that sounded hard going, I bet you wished you hadn’t started it at times! 😉

@kajikita if I hadn't loved the jacket so much it would have been binned after an hour. I thought I could just cut off the bottom 2 rows of the cuff then rip it back. But it wouldn't unravel as it had been knitted from the bottom up. That's when my problems began. I won't ever do that again !!!
I've had to order buttons for my cardigan. I've ordered them from EBay and they cost £2.89 for 6 which wasn't bad at all.Debt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

This is rather a long post! I can’t believe almost 2 months have passed since I last popped in. My torpor has just taken over and I’ve not done much since then at all.
@plumduff55, Thanks for your kind words.
’m sure iI’ll discover that you’ve long finished that lovely cardigan which you were redoing to suit the wool better. What a lovely little cross body bag you made! Oooh, and I love the denim tote! And patchwork pouch. Very creative with your scarf reimagination. I have a big square, quite heavy one that husband bought me. I love the colours but I’ll never wear it as it is. For a long time, I’ve been thinking of remaking it into a sort of jacket but haven’t had the courage to try! The ‘normal’ ones are sweet too. I knew that cardi would be finished! And another fab hat! Well done on having the bravery to tackle remaking your fave cardigan’s sleeves.
@sammy_kaye18, I hope your diabetes has settled down. I really like your doorstep poinsettia idea for soontobeoap’s boots. Do tell how you got on with Temu. I’ve seen mixed reviews. I am hopeless with vision boards! Happy birthday for ages ago! I am sorry to hear your Mum’s diagnosis. Our NHS is wonderful and will take great care of her.
@soontobeoap, your Christmas boots are gorgeous – your craft group is lucky to have someone with such original ideas for its leader. Your instructions are very clear, thank you. I do love that photo frame too. Ooh, and gingerbread men decorations too!
@cupcakecraftscuddlycanine, you’re an old married lady now, it’s been so long since I’ve been on here! I love your Alice themed wedding; that’s a favourite story of mine and my daughter almost always finds something Alice related for my birthday. Oh, and you made a beautiful bride xxx
Great idea for your movie room and man cave - your crafting energy is boundless!
@Florenceem, great fawn costume! The little hooves are so cute! Great birthday cards too; you’ve been a busy bee! Those decoupage cards are fun - they fairly take me back, lol! Cloth pant liners are the best! I keep meaning to make my own but I haven’t got round to buying the snap maker thing. I must put it on my Amazon list of things to buy. Are those dog Christmas stockings fillable? Aha! I see now on the big one that it is! I like the ribbon looking like a dog collar. You got there before me! Seeing your bones made me feel fishy cat ones coming on now! Good work on the storage bags, very useful.
@katiehound, you’re a machine when you get going with these doggy duvets! You certainly needed your cruise break. Please share your elderflower cordial recipe – I know it’s too late to make it now.
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dog.
@emsi_b, it sounds like you’re right back in the groove, with PJ tops, cushions, shower curtains and cards. That’s a clever idea to use tiny scraps of fabric as stuffing… I may have to set up a collection box for them now… Those are pretty cards you made at the craft class.
@wraithlady, I am sure the baby blanket is lovely and will be much appreciated by your friend (and baby).
@kiis_me_now9, congratulations on your baby’s arrival. I admire you for hand stitching a hexagon quilt. I just don’t have the patience for that. You’re making a great positive start to your sewing; your confidence will grow with practice – just dive in. And you’re little one won’t mind if things aren’t just perfect. @daisy_1571 has given great advice.
@KajiKita, Good luck with the building work. I’m looking forward to seeing your tablecloth and other makes. The fabrics are lovely.
Thanks everyone that posted scrap fabric ideas. I’ll be having a look at them – I’m very good at collecting ideas, not always so good at using them. That’s me finally caught up. I’ll post later about my meagre output and my plans for August.

Hi, everyone, Ive not started my next knitting project yet as I'm am so uptight and on edge. My eldest son is climbing Mont Blanc as I write. It is the highest mountain in Europe and more than 3 times the height of Ben Nevis. He got to over 4,000 metres yesterday and left at 4 this morning to climb the last 800 metres then get back down. Honestly the stress kids can put you through is unbelievable !!! Knitting will resume as soon as I calm down xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order
