Love the sloth material one.
@Florenceem can I ask where you get your material from?
I really want to find a good store to get some material to start making things for the house.
Well today has involved tidying and cleaning around.
Daughter has gone to town with her little friend so she will be gone with a few hours and bringing back god knows what with her birthday money - our town is only small though so I dont think she can do too much damage.
I have moved stuff in my bedroom around and I think Im going to go and sort her room whilst shes out and get hoovered and then Im going to use the rest of the afternoon crafting.
I have macrame stuff to try and the weather outside is awful so I think staying snug indoors is going to be on the cards. I even taped a few Chr***mas films to watch too!

Good morning, it lovely and sunny here this morning.I've knitted another hat for a Christmas present. It's a moss stitch and cable pattern. I've done several of these recently as I love the pattern.
Last night I finished sewing up the dk cardigan for myself. I've just to sew in the ends and the buttons. Hopefully I'll find buttons in my button box. I hate buying buttons as they are so expensive.
I shortened the sleeves on an Aran jacket I knitted several years ago. It is cotton yarn and the sleeves have gotten longer and wider over the years. I decided to alter the sleeves as I wear this jacket a lot. Well, it was the job from Hell !!! It looked simple on YouTube videos but because my jacket is moss stitch and cables it was horrendous and took me 6 hours. I cut off the extra length, picked up the stitches then knitted a twisted rib cuff. I also added shirring elastic to the cuff so I'm hoping it'll keep its shape. Anyway it's finished now and what a difference. I felt a bit like orphan Annie before as the sleeves were so long. An awful job but well worth the perseverance.
@Florenceem your Christmas stockings are lovely and have put me in the Christmas mood.
Beautiful fabric @KajiKita
Today I'm going to start knitting a Christmas sweater for one of my younger grandchildren. On Saturday my daughter in law to be is taking me to a large quilting shop. I am making her and my son a quilt as a wedding present. She has already chosen a pattern and will choose her fabric on Saturday.
Happy crafting xxDebt free - Mortgage free - Work free ( in that order)

@plumduff55 what a thoughtful gift and it sounds beautiful. I agree with you about buttons. I tend to put old clothes aside and before I recycle them etc I see if there is anything I will use like fastenings etc or just a nice pattern or logo I can reuse instead of just letting it go.
I have had a strange morning.
My blood glucose spiked last night after a day of just not being careful with what I ate so I felt awful last night so I am behaving today.
Then my mother called from a hospital appointment I didn't know she had. Turns out they called Thursday and saw her today. It looks like she has some cells in her throat that are a pre cancer so they are putting her through treatment to stop it before it starts so she has appointments this week and then she will have a month of daily radiation treatment. She's a bit shocked but she has been assigned a Macmillan nurse so that will help to reassure her and answer any questions she has at least.
So I have just had lunch and now I'm going to try and just relax and switch my brain off for a bit and watch a Christmas film with my daughter. I really am getting in the festive mood lately - I'm sure seeing all @Florenceem stockings are helping and I had a look at the fabric page so have a basket full on there too.Time to find me again5 -
plumduff55 - Love the hat.
sammy_kaye18 - I have 2 parcels of fabric on the way.
I also bought a storage bag to put the finished stockings away in.
Made 2 drawstring bags today for a playgroup leader - D - used a duvet cover from SA - storage for ball pit balls. D is going to make a donation to SA.
I used cord that I had in my stash. Got my overlocker out to finish the inside seams. They are large size bags.
