Progress not Perfection

The painter has done the majority of the dining room and will be back tomorrow afternoon to finish it. He's going to do the bathroom on Monday. That means I can go into the office tomorrow morning and stop off at Lid! on the way home as it's the last day to pick up the free item.
I've ordered the washer dryer from AO. Went via TCB and used a £25 off voucher AO sent me ages ago. I ended up with an LG, although it was touch and go between that and a Beko. Both had excellent reviews and good energy ratings and there was just £50 difference in price. What swayed it in the end was the LG has a free 5 year parts and labour guarantee plus it's a bit bigger load. That's my appliances pot cleared out! Having it delivered Monday and paid extra for the removal/installation service. It's coming on Monday.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)9 -
This may seem sad, but I think a new washing machine is exciting! I know you will soon have the appliance pot filled again, and in the meantime you can play with the new 'toy'.
Great progress on the decorating too.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

I'm sure you will love just being able to wash and dry within a short time. I line dry and airer dry where possible but there are always times when I'm very glad of a washer/dryer, particularly for bedding.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Me too CF, hang out on the line, then if still damp or not quite dry put them on a maiden in the bedroom out of sight overnight, then tumble dry them. Used to worry about using the TD as OH used to moan, but soon shut him up when I told him, he could do the washing and see how he got on with the drying, especially trying not to get it smelling damp and stinky.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.003

Our new LG washer dryer is brilliant and dries so much better than the older model. I’m sure you’ll be pleased with it.I’m really sorry I missed all of the tape measure excitement. Did you sneak a look at where the key is kept for the tool box? Imagine the chaos you could cause by quietly moving things round and re-locking the box if you had the key! Mr Redo had a lock picking set if you want it?

I’m on the lookout for a new DW, it’s still working at the moment, just. Tho I’m not sure for how much longer. Got a few electrical items that I’ve had for some time , so thinking once one goes, the rest will follow. So making sure any oddments goes into the replacement fund.x:j Debtfree and and staying that way.:j3-6 month emergency fund, No.61 £140.001
