Progress not Perfection

Interesting about the tummy pains - I thought mine was down to the cheese butty I ate but never had THAT problem before so could have been my flu jab. Cheese always gives me sinus problems but just thought it had progressed a little. I normally have arm ache for 2/3 days & feel a little off, but the stomach is a new one.

Hope you feel better soon. There are so many bugs about atm…that could be picked up anytime. I’ve had a streaming cold, I had both flu and covid jabs on Tuesday but I’m not convinced it’s connected as I had a very dry throat a day or so before it started and before I had the jabs. The nurse was telling me the only known effects is a sore arm….I’m not convinced, as I know of so many people being poorly afterwards…according to her - if you’re poorly afterwards it’s because you were already coming down with it…..definitely not convinced she is right 🤷🏻♀️At least if Mr SA is in bed resting….hes not running into anything with his scooter. Hope his beer arm is better soon 😂😂January spends - £587.581

Easy to pick a bug up from anywhere, especially at work and you've had people in and out the house. If you're not feeling better tomorrow go and get the covid jab to distract your body 😁

My mum had similar symptoms to you after her flu jab. I had both covid and flu at the same time and just had a sore arm. Not sure which jab went into that arm. I don't normally react badly though."If you can dream it, you can do it". Walt Disney1

I hope you are feeling better today. The man that did my jabs said the flu one was making people feel pretty lousy for a day or two. The flu jab varies each year according to the variants that are about. I dont know if the covid one is the same.My first flu jab years ago ( I was working in care so got it through occupational health) left me feeling horrible all winter and I refused them for a long while after that. This is the first year recently it has affected me.2

Morning all, happy Monday.
I feel quite a bit better today, although still getting the sharp pains in my stomach but not as often.
The builder is here to do the floor and skirting boards in the dining room. As the floor is a bit uneven in places he's going to have to put a layer of plyboard down underneath the new flooring which will mean additional cost, nothing is ever straightforward.
Set the Principality RS to close and go into the current account when it matures 2 weeks today. Also closed the NW matured regular saver and transferred the balance into the current account ready for paying the builder. I might not have to lend myself the money from the EF as there is enough in the sinking funds pot to lend myself. When the YBS Christmas Saver matures next week that will go straight into the EF.
An oddment of £9.71 has been sent to the Christmas pot.
Today's exercise will be dog walking later this morning, going to aim for 15,000 steps in total during the course of the day.
As the weather is dry, I've hung out the washing that's getting on my nerves. Once again I have a load of washed laundry to dry and a laundry basket full of washing to do. I had the heated airer and dehumidifier on Saturday and Sunday but it took ages and it's still not all dry. I've identified a heat pump tumble dryer I plan to buy once the building work has finished and we get straight. No point ordering it now as there's nowhere to put it.

Morning SA - glad you're starting to feel a bit better at least. No jabs here and I have what is unmistakably the start of a cold, and no idea where I got it from - so I suspect there is a lot of grotty bugs kicking about.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

That’s the builder finished his bit. Just waiting for him to send the bill. DD’s floor is being done Friday as well as the dining room painting. Might actually be able to get a couple of days in the office this week, although the painter said he’d get before if he can.The dining room floor and new skirting boards look brilliant, really pleased with them.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

Lovely to hear about the progress on your DD's room!
Sorry to hear about the painful symptoms though. I wonder if the rice salad could have been the culprit (Bacillus cereus)? I hope you feel completely better soon.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
