Have you asked the plasterer about the shelf & TV bracket? My OH was a painter, carpenter, plasterer etc & could ( & still can) turn his hand to most things (except cooking & housework!).

Take the fuse out of his drill…..🥴😳😂….the damage Mr SA could do with long screws 😱😱😱😱😱
Glad the work is all coming together for you 👍
Hope Dd is still ok.January spends - £587.582 -
DD’s room is painted just waiting for the flooring man now, I’ve spoken to him to and he’s going to get back to me with a date. Her room looks brilliant so far.
The plastering is also done. Never thought of asking him about the shelves etc and he’d gone by the time I got back home from a post work walk. Not ready for them yet though and have seen some local recommendations for handymen. The painter didn’t realise the dining room floor was being done on Monday and is booked up until Friday. He’s definitely coming on Friday but will get earlier if he can.Cleaned up as much as I can, there’s plaster dust everywhere! Doesn’t help when Mr SA keeps shuffling through it.Another NSD.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Morning all, happy Saturday 🥂
Going to do a live ClubFit class in an hour then take the dog on the park.We have our flu jabs at lunchtime. Mr SA is also having a Covid jab but I don’t think I’m going to have mine. They make me feel terrible the next day. DD had a flu jab but refused the Covid one. I don’t need to have one but qualify because of Mr SA being vulnerable. DD is also classed as vulnerable since her aneurysm and blood transfusions. It’s raining at the moment but this afternoon looks sunny so hopefully we won’t get wet when we go for the jabs. On the way back I need to pop into the big Mr T for Mr SA’s beer which is on offer until the end of the year. Also going to pick up some wine while it’s 25% off.Pizza, Prosecco and Strictly tonight 🙂
No building works today but DD is going to start setting her computer back up and putting things in her wardrobe. She’s really pleased with it. Hoping it will all be finished this time next week.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6 -
Flu jabs done, didn’t have the Covid one. They asked me why not and I said because of how awful they make me feel. They said I was risking it, which I don’t think I am because I’m not classed as vulnerable, plus I’ve managed to avoid getting it so far. Mr SA had his.Oh my days Mr SA today! Firstly on the way out this lunchtime he backed his scooter into our drainpipe and completely displaced it plus knocked a paving stone out. Then at the clinic he insisted on driving his scooter inside despite there not being room and crashed into some chairs in the waiting area 🤦♀️ He did make the nurse laugh though when she went to put the flu jab in his right arm and he said no that’s my drinking arm 😆
The weather was beautiful this afternoon, I was out in the garden in short sleeves. Cleaned and tidied up the greenhouse and got rid of lots of rubbish. I’ve got some aubergines coming and quite a few peppers starting to turn red. The courgette plant is still producing too.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Clearly I should have been more patient with my peppers and aubergines as I've started to give up on the greenhouse. My San Marzano tomatoes are stubbornly refusing to ripen.2

Morning all.Have been up over an hour as woke up with cramping pains in my stomach 🙁 Hopefully this will improve as the day goes on and not develop into a tummy bug. No idea what could have set this off. Typical, I didn’t have the Covid jab because I didn’t want to feel rough today and feel rough anyway!
Plans for today are:
Take the dog on the park
Clean the bathroom
Clean the dishwasher
Plant winter pansies
Move geraniums to greenhouse
Weed driveway
Make vegetable lasagne in 🐙 free electricity hour 1-2
Charge things up in free electricity hour
Make a batch of lentil and black bean soup for work lunches in free electricity hour
There’s leftover Prosecco for tonight’s Strictly results 🥂I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4
