Bearing in mind he has a working drill and tape measure the thought of him having screws as well leads to all kinds of speculation.3

You lot 🤣🤣 He actually has vast quantities of screws and nails in the shed but he particularly liked the plasterer’s extra long screws 🤣🤣
Not looking forward to all the cleaning I’m going to have to do after all this is done, there’s plaster dust everywhere!Bought a tarpaulin from Lid! and have covered over the table and chairs with it and put them on the patio. The tarpaulin is huge, it’s like a tent!I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3 -

Tarpaulins?! I might head off to L1dl... having put the log store up, I want to protect it from the weather! I suspect from the design that the logs are supposed to have airflow around them so it could be counter-productive, but tarpaulins are the sort of things I like to have even if I only have limited use for them! Of course, the odd couple of them to provide extra cover for the chickens I've not yet got would be useful.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

Morning all, happy Friday.
Just waiting for the plasterer and painter to turn up around 8am.
DD has paid her board so that's gone to the holiday pot. I've had an email from YBS to remind me the Christmas Saver is maturing at the end of the month so I'm going to set it to transfer into the Emergency Fund I have with them. That pot was always destined for there anyway. I'm going to lend myself the balance of regular saver 3 from the EF then put it back when it matures at the beginning of November. I'll have to pay for the building works next week so want the money ready as I like to pay them straightaway. I think I might need to source a handyman as I'd like a shelf putting up in the bathroom once it's painted plus one in the kitchen. Also DD has bought a new TV bracket that needs going up.
Exercise - aiming for 15,000 steps today.
Tonight's dinner is a portion of breaded sweet chilli basa with steamed veg and swede chips. I've got a portion of butternut squash stew for lunch leftover from last night's dinner.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5 -
Better sneak that handyman in before Mr SA puts his tape measure, drill and extra-long screws to use!4

I like to pay workmen or services straight away too. I hate owing anyone anything, it makes me fret 😖
The stew sounds lovely. Have a happy Friday ✨Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
